What exactly is the "Trade with caution" rank supposed to achieve when its handed out so inconsistently?

Making this topic because I see @Decode back with ex-staff rank, after being responsible for people getting scammed and at the same time there is @TWC with 1000 positive feedback and a topic full of vouches for doing large trades with other (some more some less) reputable users, but he is in TWC and seems to be using the rank as an advertisement.

How is that consistent? I dont argue that decode should be in TWC but how is it consistent that he isnt while one of the people with the most feedback is in TWC?

What makes TWC even more useless as a rank is that it seems like people only ever get placed into the rank when tey are getting disputed or talk shit to a staff member in chatbox, but people who singed up 5 minutes ago can post multiple topics about offering services and buying/selling gold. 

There are so many scams where people chose to get their firecape done by someone with 3 posts and a 1 week old account because he offered the lowest price and I feel like half of those could be prevented if TWC wouldnt be given so randomly.

IMO it would be the best to just place anyone who opens a service/wants to sell an account or wantss to sell gold into TWC until he gets like 10 feedback. and replace the "trade with caution" rank that you give people getting disputed with a "do not trade" rank.

@TWC wanted his twc rank to be perminant by choice i believe. 

 

TWC rank is pretty much a rank where it warns people that they have an open scam dispute. Once they dispute is closed then its removed.

some people like fratem remain in twc even if the dispute is closed.

Hopefully I can clear this up; TWC can be left indefinitely after a refund if the staff team believes the user is at all at risk to scam again OR if the user clearly and knowingly broke the site rules.

TWC the guy himself thats more of a marketing stunt so ignore him. Regarding everything else theyre in proportion to the individual case. Regardless those people can appeal TWC.

As night said, there isn’t a certain standard to be met or not regarding TWC. It all comes down to whether the staff team collectively agree that said user is a threat or not (after the disputes have been cleared up). They also depend on the type of reason as to why said member is TWC. Blatantly attempting to scam someone will mean TWC for at least a few months until said member can prove to the staff team that he has turned a corner and is now a rule-abiding member.

A user can be in a Market related 'Trade With Caution' rank if they knowingly broke one of the site rules? The first part makes sense but not the latter.

Also, there should be a rank that restricts people from entering the market. People that blatantly lie about being the OO to sell an account faster or people who spam pc to post.

TWC should be changed to market restriction. That will clear up a lot of bs currently. TWC does nothing as people still scam anyway in TWC..

Yes market rules; we do try to deny threads for those who spam for an account sale; people with TWC can now provide services but cannot have a thread. The problem with a DNT or market restriction rank is that people will still trade them anyway as they currently do in TWC.

Then ban them. If they have the TWC rank to begin with then it's because they did something wrong. TWC shouldn't be given out because 'I think' this guy deserves it. It should be given out with facts. If it's a fact that a user is a threat to the marketplace then that user does not currently belong in the marketplace. I wouldn't mind there being an appeals process to get rid of it but the fact that a user has a TWC because they're proven to be dangerous in the market and then can continue to market is just baffling.

If any user willfully requests TWC also then they should be left with either a rejection - as this is not a scam and nothing about scammers is funny - or they should be given the rank along with all of the restrictions that comes with it.
