Developer Patrick Posted March 26, 2020 Developer Share Posted March 26, 2020 Hey, In our quest to lower banrates, I would like to test a new mouse movement algorithm. Please let me know what you think of it and how to improve upon it. This algorithm won't be implemented into the next stable build untill it's verified to be better than the current one! Gunman
Oh that's hella cool. May be a problem with bans lowered because of the quarantine, but still can do testing of the 2 mouse version side by side. Quote Link to comment

This is just a first attempt so I can imagine there will be a couple of changes before it's as good as it's gonna get ^^ 1 Quote Link to comment

Gunman
@Patrick Do you have any ideas to counter the issue with combat scripts? Example being Fruity Zulrah and Excellent Vorkath would need faster mouse speeds. Quote Link to comment

powerrangeralt
Ran a small scale test with official release and this versions. 3 accounts in each version of the client, each account running a different type of activity. Scripts were exactly the same in each version of the client. Test duration was 3 hours with a 45 minute break in the middle. All accounts are rested F2P accounts fresh off of tutorial island, no proxies or other differences between the clients. 1 account banned in 2.5.70 (runecrafting) 1 account banned in 2.5.73 (runecrafting) 2 accounts unbanned in 2.5.70 (fishing+cooking / woodcutting+firemaking) 2 accounts unbanned in 2.5.73 (fishing+cooking / woodcutting+firemaking) Quote Link to comment

But what better way to test than with something you know will get banned Side note - progress wise not much difference in overall progression between the versions. They all stopped at virtually the same levels for skills Quote Link to comment
