Then launch the official client from your preferred launcher, wait for the client to load, then press connect in OSBot

If it's legacy account yes, other wise no, it's not required

If you mean OSBot v3, you'll need to use a Virtual Machine, currently only works on Windows

You need to manually open the osclient.exe/osrswindows.exe file outside launchers to use legacy accounts (download and update through your preferred launcher). I don't know the plans for long term, but at least in short term, as long as the java client is working, you'll still have access to anything you bought.
