Hello everybody. While it pains me to say this, I'm leaving OSBot. I'd like to thank all 372 of my customers for your excellent enthusiasm and support. It truly was a pleasure working with all of you on such a unique script. I'd also like to thank everybody who has participated on the SSF team, specifically @Jordan. SSF has made me countless new friends, and was an experience of a lifetime. While I won't be leaving until August 21st, you will see my activity on the forum decrease to only following up on the SSF thread. I've advised the staff to remove SSF from the SDN, and I will stick around for a month to keep it updated for the last wave of customers. It's amazing to think that I've spent in excess of 1200 hours browsing the OSBot forum. The OSBot community will always have a special place in my heart, but it's a ship that I'm not going to sink with. The forum is dying, the client keeps breaking, and the developers deny any responsibility. Farewell, @Dashboard16 points

Hello community, lately you may have heard the "API team" we have here at OSBot. If you didn't well it was a group of some of our script developers. A few weeks ago I invested a couple hours of my time into modularizing OSBot's code so that a couple of developers could help me fix bugs faster than I could just alone by myself. Well for some time they were committing various miscellaneous fixes and some small nifty additions but recently have stopped committing their "fixes" due to the fact that they now want to get paid extra compensations for these fixes. Ideally I would like to hire some extra muscle around here to help with OSBot's development but the reality is that our user base has shrunk and we're not making nearly as much profit as before. I've asked the script developers on behalf of our current customers/users to commit their changes for free out of kindness, especially since OSBot is the foundation for their own commercial scripts. But because the proposed API team wants unrealistic compensation for minor bugfixes, no deal has been reached. Therefor I would like to optimistically announce that from now on OSBot will feature daily builds every day from Mondays - Friday. On top of that all the bugfixes that the private team has refused to commit to OSBot's codebase will simply be done by me instead. I want this community to understand that I personally love working for OSBot and I'm extremely eager to be working on our current products and planning/developing our future products. I work very hard and am too dedicated to this job and will not stand by and let others destroy it. On top of the fact that the developers will be fixing the bot's bugs ourselves is the assurance that we know what we're doing with our code. In my honest opinion, the API team that was proposed has decent scripting skills but other than that not much. Botting is more than just knowing how to script and requires knowing how RS's internals work thoroughly and understanding. Now, I'm not trying to to offend anyone here, but simply outlining how this business should be working. The developers have been fixing the bot's bugs up until now but it takes time to fix everything. Nonetheless, I am promising daily updates every day from Mondays - Friday. I'm also going to outline some of our current goals/projects: Dynamic walking/web walkingWe've been talking about this feature for quite some time but because we've prioritized stabilizing our current API it has been delayed for some months now. This project is quite big but OSBot is fully capable of having it fully implemented sometime soon. More updates/sneak peaks at web walking will be released this week with more information regarding the project. Mobile bottingWe're going to start developing some tools/apps for mobile phones/browsers to remotely control your bots and to notify you of situations like random events, script errors, and more. I have been planning mobile botting for months now and am fully ready to start working on it. The final outcome will be extreme control over bots and statistically lower ban rates. Passive scripts/in-game enhancementsThis is a nifty idea we've been thinking about for some time now. The idea is so that you could select certain scripts to be enabled at a single time and they'll work together to produce the final outcome (i.e. gameplay). This expands OSBot not just into the botting market, but the custom client market where players like PKers use passive scripts like next hit predictors, and also psuedo-gamplay (where you can control your bot using custom interfaces to speed-up gameplay; example: walking across the map, etc.). Second generation scriptsSecond generation scripts will be scripts which are much smarter than our current scripts. These scripts will be able to interact with the API to let it know when it CAN and CANNOT run efficiently. Additionally the scripts will know the ideal starting locations and will use our future webwalking API to traverse to those areas in between scripts as well as handling deaths. Another feature is that OSBot will be able to suggest certain scripts based on your current state in the game (hint: this will boost script sales especially since pay-per-usage botting will be implemented soon) Script schedulerThe final outcome of all these proposed changes will be the script scheduler. This will be the ultimate tool against getting banned and we are rushing to get everything ready for this. The scheduler will allow you to schedule scripts at certain times/intervals and allows switching skills/scripts automatically (for example: a tab maker could switch automatically to a mercher to sell its tabs) Now you may think that this is just hype but regardless of your opinion, OSBot is here to stay and I am here to make sure of that. These projects are all basically inter-dependent and take time but just know that we're always working very hard on our side to compete with other bots and making botting as easy as possible. Thank you so much for our loyal customers. OSBot could not exist without you and we're eager to give you more! Moreover OSBot will eventually expand to RS3 botting. Most of the tools developed for the OSBot will be reused and re-implemented for the new RS3 API and eventually OSBot will be part of a bigger father company which controls both an OldSchool and an RS3 bot In conclusion, this ends my little developer blog. One thing I want to change here at OSBot is all the negativity going around about how the way we work. If you don't have something positive to post here don't post at all. P.S. A 2.2.9 is coming out tonight with many API bugfixes that the API team has claimed to have fixed because I want OSBot to be independent! We don't need to rely on anybody.12 points

With the declining state of the community, I feel as though it is my time to leave. Hopefully OSBot might see better days that will encourage me to return. I've spent pretty much my entire time here in the Chat Box and I feel extremely lucky to have met so many amazing and unique people. I'd like to thank the following for making my time here so enjoyable. @Caam is love, @James is life. @Catastrophe is black, and this makes me feel exotic. @Nezz for being the ultimate CBA master. @Acerd for CBA. @RoomScape for basically teaching me how to get CBA. @Scotty for making the chat box interesting. @Wizard for being Wizard. @Eliot for @Blue for being a leecher. @NotoriousPP for being one of the most down to earth guys I know. @Asuna for being so lovely and having a great taste of music. @Foo for being a McDonalds sponsor. @Dex for being the Belgian King, and a good friend. for having the best sense of humour (or humor if you are illiterate) @Proto for being a pretty cool guy. @Han for being a rude dude. @Fastspec for being unknown. @Pain for being insanely troll. @Mind Tricks for being genuinely lovely. @Timekeeper for being a peasant. @Maldesto and the rest of the staff team for being so supportive and helping me, keep up the good work guys. I'm very sorry if I missed you, but there were a lot of names to try and remember. Like I said, I hope I return, but for now I just need to take my leave. Stay classy OSBot, @Epsilon8 points

Always lots and lots of talk. Hopefully you can at least back it up a little bit this time. There has been a lot of negativity lately, but it's more than justified. I want the best for my customers and when there are client-side issues that prevent my customers from getting what they paid for, it makes me sad. Anyways, good luck!8 points

We have our own private repo. All of the fixes that we've done over the past few days have not been merged. This includes: We will not be pushing any updates until Laz gets back to us. We're unimpressed by his absence as he was supposed to speak with us days ago.8 points

Thanks for posting this. I don't think people understand that making issues public does more harm than good from a business perspective. It's the same reason major companies pay millions of dollars yearly to cover things up.6 points

We're going to be removing the mandatory renewals for scripts within 72 hours. We've decided that last night, I'm not going to sit around and restrict people like this and have our users charged 4.99 for a fishing script one time payment on OSBot 1. We transition to OSBot 2 and its 9.99 with a 4.99/month renewal. We will allow undercutting, but at our discretion. We won't allow someone to release a fishing script for $.50, but if someone has one at $9.99, we will allow someone to go lower, but not low enough to ruin the whole thing for every one. We currently have 0 restrictions on releasing free scripts, so right now someone can release an AIO Miner for free, but can't release it for $7.99, how stupid is that honestly. Tl:dr No more mandatory renewals No more mandatory over priced scripts.5 points

Really? Why is anyone that has been proved to scam given second chances? Whoever makes the decision to give scammers second chances, you're a fucking retard.4 points

Awesome, daily updates! Can't wait to download each file because we don't have an auto-updater. C'mon Laz, add it already.4 points

Really, the only way to prevent osbot from dying is to let developers help to make the bot FLAWLESS, and remove the current monthly fees + bring back nice scripts.. I'm sorry, but i rather use another bot instead of paying 3-4$ a month, with a client which still contains a lot of bugs..4 points

The bot is basically detectable and the script prices are high and people wonder why we went from 3-4k online users daily to 1k. Scripters can argue saying they need to eat, but it's simple economics. Higher price means less sales while lower price means more sales. They keep pricing it up to try to make up for lost revenue, but that itself is the reason their revenue is dying. But what do I know? I'm not a scripter.4 points

People that scammed/tried scamming, shouldn't be allowed back. It's bullshit. @lolmanden3 points

It will happen, don't you worry BUT scripters may stay because they still make money. Some will stay, some will go. either way OSBot is nearing its end.3 points

I'm sure people would rather pay $5-10 for a script and always have it than pay $1 or $2 a month just because of the perplexity that comes along with recurring payments.3 points

I used to scam, and I can honestly say I would never do it again and it never crosses my mind. I feel bad for people who can't grow up and move past that stage in their lives.2 points

Around September-December time I was goldfarming like crazy, devs were active on a daily basis, I had plenty of one time payment scripts and I was loving it. I didn't even bother using any competitor bots because I had everything I wanted here. Now, I've only bought one script because cba making 10 monthly payments, devs are rarely active, the bot client is detectable, full of errors, and for the first time I've actually begun using other clients for goldfarming because they seem to put more effort into their product.2 points

can't udnerstand anythign of the last part you said but whatever. If the devs don't listen/care about us why would we care about the community? We tried to talk a lot of times, tried to fix a lot of things, Some pll spend sooooo much time in it and they get nothing. Scripters don't care about the community anymore. Every script 50% of your time you are working a way around a fail osbot methods. All I can say is that the Devs are throwing away a great potential. 80% of the scripters gave up to script anymore today, you cna ask Laz for more info about that. GF Osbot2 points

The main problem is since OSBot was always free to use the whole base was founded on leechers. It still is the most inexpensive bot out there, however people don't see it because their used to getting everything for free.2 points

Not interested even if scripts were 0.10$ lifetime as long, as ban rates are like this. Back in the days i was paying 30$ for a quality scripts from ibot-nexus client, when there were free scripts on rsbot, but ban rates were a lot higher on the free. It should be main focus, not webwalking1 point

First off: thank you for addressing the community. Some communities will try and cover up the problems and act is if they are not there. I am glad that you were able to take responsibility for the current situation and inform the userbase. Here at OSBot we have the best scripters in the business. I feel as though the Developers and Scripters need to reach an agreement ASAP, or the bot will continue to decline. They have shown that they can help with the API and bugfixes, but things are not going to start moving forward again until a compromise can be reached. I feel as if OSBot will continue to decline at a current rate until it collapses as dies. Another thing: the overpriced scripts. I went through the store and saw that most scripts are $2.99 with a $2.99 monthly fee. I can understand if the script is an AIO RuneCrafter or Druids Killer, but something menial like a woodcutter? I don't that is fair. Nobody is going to want to pay that much for a woodcutter or fisher. I think the pricing restrictions need to be revised so that people will be drawn back here. We have very good scripters that can make very high quality scripts. If we can make some of those scripts free (Woodcutters, fishers, firemakers, fletchers etc), people will want to come back. Cheers!1 point

Its Jews, the main reason why America and UK is not reacting to this crisis is because Jews are running both America and the UK.. Its clear that Israel will win the war since America has been sending them weapons and ammunation, God save Palestine, and get rid of these non human jews.1 point

There's so much to it that can't be explained and as I said before it's just brainwashed peoples, religious beliefs, religious traditions, religious history, religious extremists, etc and so many misunderstandings and bullshit reasoning. I didn't even fully read your post but I also saw this. I don't know how old you are but you seem very uneducated. Corruption is a complex issue that could be explained, argued, and debated for days/weeks/months/years. The world is corrupt. What you said doesn't really make any sense...1 point
