[Chatbox Suggestion] Colored Private Messages
RoomScape replied to ProjectPact's topic in Forum Feedback/Suggestions
You’re right. You have too much time on your hands. But how does this affect the way you chat with one another in the chat box and how does adding colors positively make a difference? -
Suggestion: Stop Multi-Threading in Services
RoomScape replied to Jackthedon's topic in Spam/Off Topic
I made this same suggestion on this site or another a while back. It got denied and the argument was that they had one thread per service and if they wanted another, separate service that they can make another thread. Just to let you guys know. btw wrong section https://osbot.org/forum/forum/148-forum-feedbacksuggestions/ -
If decent range/mage I’ll do quests for 10m each. Not interested in skills, sorry.
-
This was hilarious. I'm currently in Canada and am wondering where this is because I want to see stuff like this in person.
-
@B3NJ making people tag someone just made this the most cancerous thread. Everyone in this site is getting tagged omfg this is horrible.
-
Not sure about the rules regarding this so just make sure it's not questionable. https://osbot.org/forum/forum/178-other/ That's where you would put it...I think? Not sure.

Thoughts on gold prices by the end of summer?
RoomScape replied to AsBakedAsCake's topic in Spam/Off Topic
But those are items. Not gold. Items shouldn’t affect gold prices. Gold affects gold prices. The rate at which gold is introduced into the game and the rate at which it leaves is what affects the price. -
Your item. How much do you think it’s worth based on time spent and efficiency/use? I can’t put a price on your item, man.
-
You better put a price on that.

Someone said it's 1:7.5 but who knows. People still play RS3? -
I see trust as how much I know a person. Feedback, though a decent indicator of how many trades a person has roughly done, can't define 'true' trust. A lot of people farm feedback and do a bunch of small trades. They get 50-100 feedback and people just the number and think that it's a high number so the person is trusted. On the other hand, another guy can have 25 feedback but all with 100m+ trades and people would rather go with the first guy just because he has more feedback. But I stopped trusting people just based on the number of feedback they have. I've seen plenty of people scam with high feedback. Staff members are not except from this, be it a moderator or admin. People scam because they're people and having a certain rank doesn't bar someone from doing something. I trust people based on how well and how long I've known them, though just because I've known someone for a while doesn't mean that I'll go lend them 100m. It's hard to tell if you can trust a person just based on an initial meeting. You have to develop a relationship with them and get to know them, much like in the real world. Just remember that this is online and people do a lot of stuff they'd never do in person just because they can hide behind a monitor and feel good all to them self.

I’m a solo guy. Thankfully I haven’t been f’d over with any workers but that’s just getting increasingly riskier so I’d rather stay solo. I’m not huge in services anyway and only quest so I can be available most times. This is pretty funny to be honest.

Yes but it’s ok because it’s YouTube content.

Thoughts on gold prices by the end of summer?
RoomScape replied to AsBakedAsCake's topic in Spam/Off Topic
Actual loot being introduced into the game shouldn’t affect gold itself. Gold is affected be gold sinks and the rate at which actual GP is introduced to the game. Most notably, high alch. High alch is probably the most popular, albeit a slow way to train magic but since you can just afk spam click, it’s a pretty popular option. However, since the death mechanic was changed to 60 minutes, that essentially just cut out a big gold sink out of the game which is death. There are small gold sinks but nothing major and that’s devaluing the price of gold since there’s just nothing halting it. With the new update it should help a bit but who knows. -

Once again? I’ve trashed every post you’ve made? Are you a ban evader? You just joined in May and I just double checked and never even quoted any other post you made. If I’m mistaken then I apologize as I’m on my phone at the moment but with a quick look, I never even replied to you ever before. Also, I never said you asked this question before. Why are you so insistent that I’m talking about you? I just made a statement that wasn’t directed towards you at all which is why I put the question mark at the end opposed to a period. You don’t have to like me. I know not here to win any popularity contest. I’m just trying to make sure that this was asked before because I know a lot of people posted on that old thread and you may get more info from reading that thread. If you think that I’m following you trashing every post you say then you think too highly of yourself if you think I’m that concerned with you man. I don’t know you and don’t know you from anywhere so stop assuming stuff. -
$20 anything is $20 worth of that specific item. $20 is $20, regardless of the payment method. That's like saying $20 RSGP is 20gp.. 20 BTC may be $135k but the $20 BTC is $20 worth of BTC, hence the dollar sign.

Spoke to some guy in Varrock yesterday. He told me how he got caught botting and had a two day ban. I was like, Rip, that sucks. He said it doesn't as he's just going to wait until next year when it expires and bot again. He said he keeps doing this and only ever gets a two day ban since the infraction resets.

Wasn't there a more or less copy/paste version of this thread a month or two ago...? -

Depends on the amount. Lawyers cost money and sometimes it's not worth paying lawyers to chase after some kid who stole his mother's credit card and chargeback a $6 item in an online game halfway across the world. Any company can go after you for loss of money under certain circumstances. In almost every case, the user checks a box agreeing to the Terms of Service and therefore can be legally responsible for the money. It's all held equally the same in the court of law as fraud is fraud regardless of it being $1k or $1. It just depends on whether the company is going to spend time chasing after you for $1.

lol. If police come to your house and say you're under arrest for not paying Digital Ocean, just laugh and close the door in their face. On another note, if they have your real info, you need to pay or it can go on your credit report and/or you will get a summons to court for a pending lawsuit, in which case you'll more than likely be required to either higher an attorney or risk fighting it yourself. Should you lose, you may also be required to pay for Digital Ocean's attorney fees as well. If you're under 18, they can't really do much, legally. If you're over 18, well...You're probably better off paying. Don't ever pay any sort of debt collector for any reason. No matter what.

I like your old avatar more man.
