How bad did you screw up today?

Well it wasn't today but a few weeks ago I reared ended someone and as you can see by my avatar the damage was pretty bad due to the bumper I have. Thought it was going to cost around $1200 to fix, no big deal. Turns out the quote he got was $4000. I'm screwed.

I had a 2000 Honda Civic and I rear ended a suburban cause I fell asleep. I had heavy damage but they made it out without a scratch lmao

If it was a honda yeah $1200, Merc/BMW/similar? 4k sounds about right. When my mom read ended somewhere in her S60 T5 it was 12k to fix.
