debatable but to each their own preference, id want my case to look decent, and id rather run a i3 6100 than a i5 and get 16gb ram but nice build muffins

honestly it could end up cheaper than 500, you could probably take out your old power supply and old hard drive on your current computer and save about 60 dollars or so And depending or not, you could probably use your old PC case and save another 40-50 dollars. Or scavenge craigslist for some used pc parts, hard drive, cpu case etc
