3lkHunter Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 UK MMO developer Jagex has been acquired for $530 million. It has now been purchased by US-based global management firm Macarthur Fortune Holding through one of its funds, Platinum Fortune. What do you guys think will happen to the future of Runescape and obviously botting?
Arii Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Jagex gave up on botters lmao botters will always live
Kramnik Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 (edited) Jagex is profitable. Investors want profit. While it is, management shouldn't change, so not a lot should change in game. Edited April 29, 2020 by Kramnik
ez11 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 they should have doubled the gp at the sand casino and bought a tbow instead of jagex tbh
shreder Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 their q&a shows nothing is changing really. just another company coming in to rake in some money.
ExtraBotz Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Someone on Reddit pointed out the price Jagex would be in gold Quote Jagex = £530,000,000.00 1M GP (from random Google search) = £0.787 Jagex in GPs = ( £530,000,000.00 / £0.787 ) * 1M GP = 673,443,456,162,643 GP 673.45T GP

If the owners were RWTing even a small % their own game's gold they would be making a shit ton more as gold is generated in the game and cycled around
