Will just shorten it and say that you should not only take only religion as a factor, think you will find something if you look up middle east after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and how the fall of a regional power could cause so much problem for us today.

A simple degree anthropology doesn't give you a free ticket, I have also read about the human species, cultural values, norms, biological factors etc (name it). I have a degree in Social science with a focus on behavioral science, and trust me, the school didn't teach me enough. Had to research and study at home, loved that subject xd. You never know who wrote that, because it simply says "Quran.com" doesn't mean it's real, open a real Qur'an. Find it, and send an image.
