Just thought I'd share a little discovery. Every time the server reboots, all the stocks of every shop go back to max. So if you want to make some quick money, after a reboot get a bunch of bots and use an auto buyer (like GMC top buy or something) and go buy out all those items. Things like runestores/arrow shops are great. Varrock arrow store after an update actually has tonnes of stock. You will never see stock amounts like this except for after an update
  2. he's w 374 now, dunno what he's doing

I don't know if thats possible, but you could use your tablet to teamviewer your home computer and control your bots that way
  4. Just a heads up, I'd be careful with your merching bots
  5. hehe, I'm trying to do the same thing right now. If you figure it out send me a message :P
  6. Why? Lots of VPN's are flagged because goldfarmers are known to use VPNs, or atleast they did. I don't know how popular it is now since a tonne of the vpn's are flagged, and not alot offer static ip's unless you have a good reason (I wanna be a goldfarmer generally isn't one). But if you bot at your home IP it could potentially get banned and then you might be putting your main at risk. Anyways, if you do get a VPN, try to get one with a static IP so that you know there aren't any other botters who could potentially use your IP when you aren't on.
  7. It's your gpu.. the 3930k is one of the best consumer grade CPU's, it's in the top 5 extreme i7s.. So don't even start to think it's your hexa core extreme cpu. It's not the gpu, old school renders everything with the cpu, so a good gpu isn't even needed. That's why it is such a cpu intensive application (relative to the quality of game you are playing). Although it does seem weird that you can only get 10 bots...you can probably get alot more. You know they dont all have to be at 60+ fps for the bot to function right? It's not like you are controlling them manually so it doesnt really matter. When you start dropping down to like 1-2 fps, then that is a sign that there probably isnt enough memory/processing power being allocated to the program. Anyways, with the OP's cpu you could easily run like 20 bots, the main thing holding you back would be the amount of ram, not the cpu. But seriously just use low cpu mode. I'm clocking my laptop at 2ghz (so that it doesnt get to hot) and I can still run 10 bots at low cpu without even using 100% cpu. It uses around 3-4 gb of ram though, and if you don't have a memory cleaner it can start using 10-15% more
  8. yeah, still some issues to be fixed
  9. and yew botting will get you banned in a day
  10. Just as a heads up to everyone, this is a free trial. Anybody can go on skytap and get one of these. You get 750 SVM hours (basically a measurement of how long you have to use the vps). The number of SVM hours you consume each hour depends on the number of processors/ram you choose to have. With the OP's current setup ,you would be using 6 svm hours per hour, and from the screenshot he has 627 hours left. So at these specs you would be able to use the vps for just over 100 hours. Also, just go to the website and you can register for one of these free trials. All you need to do is make up a company name and give them an email address, you don't even need a verified credit card
  11. thanks, I'm having trouble starting up the vnc viewer now though, but once I get to that step I'll do all those things You should be able to do something like this just type vncserver (or the vnc server program on the vps) and then using some vnc application you can connect to it using vps-ip:# the number should be given to you by your provider. I think it stands for like, a template or something. The problem is the first line, I thought typing vncserver should work, but it just says command not found. And I don't really know where to go from there :P
  12. thanks, I'm having trouble starting up the vnc viewer now though, but once I get to that step I'll do all those things
  13. I have literally no idea how linux works (got CentOS on my dedi to help conserve ram). I have Gnome installed, but I can't figure out how to set up the OSbot program. Could anybody help me out with this? I could pay you like a mill for your time Add my skype: Ohhungry

Man, that is some high university fees. Almost as much as my full 4 year program :P Maybe apply for some financial aid? There are a lot of scholarships/bursaries based on need, and a lot which actually have a lack of applicants. If you take the time to apply you could probably get a few, even if you aren't some crazy top student/athlete. But judging by the school you are going to you are probably a pretty good student so I'm sure you could snag a few thousand bucks.

  17. The point was not the comparison in terms of it being laptop vs desktop. It was expenditure and what you can get for it I was explaining. Rather than taking everything at face value (as everyone does with Apple products) you can see that for the same amount of money you're getting so much more in terms of performance. As for the monitor you can pick one of those up for less than $200 and it will always be bigger than a 15". You are still skewing the comparison by comparing a laptop model to a desktop model. The difference wouldn't be nearly so much if you were comparing it to a laptop
  18. Maybe you should have compared the macbook to a laptop instead of a desktop. A desktop will out perform any laptop obviously, you also didn't include the price of a monitor. I still agree though that a pc would outperform a macbook when comparing laptops to laptops
  19. Vouch, powerleveled 2 accounts for me, cheap and fast
  20. I've got 20k unid guams
  21. Does jagex just flag an IP after it has recieved a certain number of bans? Or can they just flag an IP if they see too many connections coming from it? I'm just wondering if it is worth the effort of splitting a dedi into multiple vps and using different ip's on each. I'm going to be using a script which is extremely low ban rate (24/7 for a month and only 2 bans on a flagged ip, and pretty sure that was just from failed randoms). But i'm just wondering if Jagex might flag the IP just because of the number of connections.
