I’m pretty interested in learning to bot in osrs but I’ve been encountering issues with proxies. When I try to connect, it usually says SOCKS configuration error and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. 

I followed the guide on Eduardino’s vid on using proxifier and checked all my proxies through a site, but when I check them through proxifier it fails? 

I don’t really have any money to invest into getting SOCKS proxies and use kidux’s scraper so could that be the problem? If so, is there any free alternatives for getting socks proxies

To be honest any proxy that is open to the public will probably get you banned for just using it. Even if you create one account with the proxy within the next 3 days the account will be banned even though you never even logged into it. That's how bad it was from my experience. You're gonna need to pay for some okay proxies at bare minimum. You're also gonna want these proxies to be ipv4

The problem is that I get the SOCKS configuration error when I try to connect to osbot so I don’t know whether the problem is with the proxies, proxifier or something else, I just want to test the waters with a bot and not get chain banned back to my main which is why I’m looking into the proxies and even if the bot gets banned it won’t trail back to my main

A proxy will set you back like $4 from proxyfish. Chain bans from my experience are so rare. The only time you would be chainbanned would be if you’re caught Rwt. I’ve botted and been banned on multiple accounts from my home IP and non of the other accounts have been banned and I have a lot of high level accounts. You’re panicking for no reason

I've made and tested many bots across many different accounts on my home IP and my main has never been banned.

If you're really keen on using proxies you should buy a premium one for yourself. Try and find a reliable company that isn't on the first page of google. It's a lot easier to just use stealth injection if you are using proxies.

Most free proxies are over saturated or don't work because they are too laggy or are completely dead (you need a scraping tool that tests them).
