Looking for my wife a laptop for school, black Friday, anyone see any good deals for a school laptop around?

I suggest investing into a MacBook Pro. at least, that is what I use for school.

I looked around a bit, NewEgg has some pretty good deals right now, I would've gave you some links but I don't know what exact specs you're looking for and your price range so yeah just check that out.

It's heavily overpriced, that's what makes us say that. 

Surface Pro is very, very good. Make sure to get the 8GB ram version though. Surface pro 3 will be sufficient. 

definitely check for laptops with 8th generation intel cpu's, they're the newest laptop cpu's from intel and you get a quad core instead of a 7th gen dual core for the same price.

This would be much easier if you also let it know what she might be needing it for.

Light browsing? Text editing? 3D rendering? Simulation? This woman could be an aronautical engineer for all I know. I've got some time to kill and browse today if I know what I'm looking for, fren.

Surface pro is very bad , it overheats and is fragile, and has very expensive replacement parts.
