Just quit the account?

Hey guys,

I'm so confused about my account at the moment. I have posted some topics earlier, about bans, delayed bans and such.

The thing is, I HAVE NOT botted for almost 3 weeks now. In other words, I have been playing legit for 3 weeks straight now. The dark side is, that I have botted on this account. I did bot for like a maximum of 20-25 hours, and the rest is legit gameplay.

So yea, here it goes, now that I have been playing legit for 3 weeks - should I still have to be worried? Delay ban? And yes, I do know, that most of you guys claim, that after 1 week, I should be safe.

Its just that, I have read lots and lots of forums, topics, etc who claims, that a ban can happen months even years after you botted. If that is the truth, wouldnt it just be dumb to continue playing legit? I want to play the game legit, and I actually regret botting. Atleast on this account, since I enjoy the game. 

Would it make sense just to start all over, and have a clear mind. Or should I just keep playing on the legit/botted account? 

I'm sorry for the long post - I'm just worried. And I really dont want to waste my time

You won't get a delayed ban if it's been 3 weeks lol. If you never bot on that acc again you won't get banned. 

People are exaggerating/lying when they say bans can happen "months/years" after botting. If it's been 3 weeks, you're fine - enjoy playing legit. Even if you do get a ban somehow it'll probably only be 2days for first ban if you have a decent account.

The 2-day ban and the fact that I'm safe, was/is also my conclusion for now.

Its just that many people claim, that Jagex just waits to ban people, so that they can get membership and pretty much tease the player. Afterall you did break the "law", so why not just let them continue, and punish when the player wont expect it. Its a much harder punishment, if you actually spend time getting there, and then getting banned. 

Also I've read, that some people have experienced a ban years and months after. They claim that they didnt play the game for half a year, and suddenly when they decide to log back on, they were perm banned?

I have an account that i only botted on it, 55 combat and many level 40 skills and i only got a 2 days ban, i didnt play any legit time on it so i guess ForBobo is right about 2 days ban

we'd all be screwed than i think if it was years after you "botted"

every botting session is a risk, botting at the time or later...... 

I'd say after 3- weeks of actual "playing" YOUD be in the safe zone. 

1 day of botting / 3 weeks later a ban - doubtful.

Well dont you think, its because you didnt make money farm? Seems like you only did skills, that dont earn money.

Some of my botting, was fishing with banking, to earn some money. That seems way more dangerous, sadly.

I hope you are right, my friend. I'm just nervous, because I've actually gotten skills close to 90 now, and I've been using my holiday on getting there. Would be sad, if its just a waste of time.

No i made over 1m on it, making gold bracelets and cannonballs and planking and looting script, i tried many scripts on it.

Well ok, that makes me a bit more calm. I didnt make more than 400-500k ish, from the script. The other scripts, were just for basic skilling. So wasnt even intending to get lots of money.

FYI

You might get banned on you main if you bot on another account. 

Use proxies to avoid that.

After a week or two you are safe. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a troll.
