winter is coming..

So I'm coding a little program and i've noticed it looks a bit bland. The theme is black and red but I have no idea how to implement colors to it.. Any ideas?

You either have to make that object from that class and call it, e.g //Other file: Class Thing { String name; public String getName(){ ... } } // Main Class main{ public static void main(){ Thing thing = new Thing(); System.out.println(" My name is " + thing.getName() } } Or make the method static, e.g When you have a static method it is saying that you do not need to create an instance of this object to use the method. The project is a easy clean GUI (hopefully in javafx) that takes in or creates a list of Business Cards allowing you to edit each one and port it to excel in a format; with some other features obviously. It takes in a weird format from a .txt that looks like a .CSV file. I'm aiming for a MVC design pattern. I want to be able to put this on my resume so I want it to be in good condition. So check it out and if you have ideas on how to implement something better or where I am messing up, post a comment I would deeply appreciate it. This is also my first time actually using git/github rather than saving manual copies on my other drives, so easy on the flame. Plus it's two days of code without any guidance or support.

I wouldn't compare a security guard to a police officer, fireman, etc.. But furthermore she didn't follow specific rules and warnings the school presented to her. Getting raped is not her fault, but become intoxicated was her fault which can lead to many problems... But I do understand why some should feel that the school should be responsible for the security guards actions although nothing in his past history would predict him to doing such a horrid thing.

How is my school at fault? Our school sets up project sites and has a company make do background checks and other etc.. Should they do background checks on the electricians too?

Just curious, I just got finished watching Roots and started thinking of my family line, culture, and other stuff. My family knows up to my great grandparents and some before that (1900s and beyond). We know Cape Verde, a slave trade island from the Portuguese. From gene tests and stuff, im about 55% African mostly Senegal and the other is from eastern European. Im just curious, whether white people or anyone (I don't mean do generalize and assume, but if this does not apply to you, ignore the question, know a lot of their family tree. But, I was fired for drinking alcohol on company property and admitted to it. But I've been building an argument of evidence to presents that I was never drinking, but it is pretty weak.. Evidence (kind of weak): - Fired employees can vouch and say I never drank alcohol.. - Have a text from the person how bought the alcohol, admitting I never drank - I am taking medication which prohibits me from drinking for a total of 6 months, I have to take monthly blood tests because of it - I have a side of the story that aligns very well with what the boss imagined what happened, except I have names of 4+ people who were also involved and never got fired The job is a pretty unimportant summer job. I can easily get a better job, but I am fighting to get this one back merely because my boss fired me thinking I was scum and broke the rules and I believe I am a much better person than that and because of my character I never want to leave a job with my employer thinking I drank alcohol on the job. What do you think? Do you think it is inappropriate for me to call my employer tomorrow and ask for him to listen to me for a brief moment?

Had job training, and met a few cool kids.Two of the kids ended up being my roommate for the next few nights. So the first night we ate dinner together, after that one of the roommates said he was getting alcohol because he a few people were gonna drink in some girls room tonight. I thought nothing of it and asked my friend and my other roommate if they wanted to chill in the room. Two hours go by and the roommate comes back to out room with alcohol. He said he was going to the girls room but after 5 minutes he said, she can come back up here and starts drinking. He gives my roomate and my friend a beer. But I am sipping on dr pepper for the time being. I guess some random roommate I didn't know about came in and saw and ran to snitch and told his buddy rooming with him. So his buddy gets up a says you better get rid of that stuff and leaves. So I freak and grab my stuff and leave. When im down the hall a staff member sees me and tells me to follow her to my room.. Staff ends of finding the alcohol, I say we all had a drink to relax and chill, not realizing that we would get fired. But we got fired and left that night
