  8. I learn by books, especially ones that have assignments and the examples online. You learn a lot of theory and have some practice from them. You could check those out.

  11. Horribel Exam anxiety.. Something I've had for a while, and was wondering how some people deal with this. I'm fine studying and preparing for the exam. But when I'm taking an exam my mind goes into some tunnel mode. No matter what I do, which would be something like trying to control my breathing and pace myself, nothing works. E.g Just had my midterms. Took physics exam, I lost 16 points .. which resulted in me getting an 83 by forgetting units and messing up division like 16/4 and 1/srt(2). Took my Operating Systems exam, for some reason read a problem backwards, panicked and changed a bunch of my answers. Lost a potential 9 points resulting in a 79. Took my probability exam got a 75, loss a potential 19 points by, putting the decimal in the wrong place in half my answer, not being able to add a few numbers. I also thought 1/4 was .5. I Just don't know what the hell it is. It's to the point where I can't do basic arithmetic and sometimes can't even properly read questions. Any guidance would be appreciated!

  17. I have a good idea although a bit of a niche. It will basically be a website form with accounts and all that shit. Hopefully in the long run I will create an app for it.. Anyway I know Java SE, html, css, some javascript, ASP.NET, tsql, some functional programming knowledge if that useful at all. The project is more or less for my amusement and curiosity and something to show to employer's in college. If I can't go into research when I go to school I plan on doing software engineering using Java (yes I know I will be using other languages, but I want to familiarize myself with common corporate frameworks and other shit) which is why im leaning towards java ee. So where would you say I would begin? Do I use ASP.NET or Java EE? Do I need to use a framework like spring (i have no clue wtf spring is or does) Do I have do cloud computing because they're is no change i will be buying hardware, if so which one aws, google, etc..? I plan on later in development finding a student to look into the security side of the website to help out, hopefully the twat doesn't make me pay him. Anyway, thanks in advance..

  21. Bored, and haven't posted in a while so I found a shitty excuse to post. So yesterday morning I woke up around 9 and saw a truck outside of my dorm with a few guys in it. It looked as if they were repairing it because the hood was up. I thought nothing of it. Then in the afternoon they were still staked out in it, still I thought nothing of it. Then around 11 I went to a party and they were still there one guy looked hammered and was leaning on the truck. Not its 6PM Sunday and they are still there sitting in their car.. You think I should give a quick call to campo just for fucks sake?
  22. Dope, but all in all you can only learn so much java from scripting..
