I'd say more than 70% is botted because botters usually create a lot more accounts than the normal RS players. Also, you posted this under Forum Games.

Yeah, I did the same thing. It's really frustrating because you keep putting more and more money into it and usually it doesn't work out like that. I was really poor when I started staking (~10m) and I was able to increase my bank up to ~300-400m before getting cleaned fully. I would keep trying to make it all back but it wouldn't work out for me. But I am so glad I quit staking because I have made so much more money and had more fun playing the game by doing PvM and skilling. Just find something new to do. I learned how to flip which can be addicting if you get really good margins and while I flipped, I would spend time bossing and learning.

Yeah, they can definitely detect the client and most of their bans are probably done after they detect it. You could potentially not bot at all and still be banned because you're using the client.

Played this before but I think I was doing it wrong.

I was in the same position where I would continuously stake over and over until I got cleaned however I refused to buy gold to stake more so that's the difference between us. I did take money from friends and I staked it and would end up losing that too. I eventually just quit staking because I had to spend so much time earning back the money my friends had given me. After I was able to pay them back, I quit the game. I came back eventually and I got the max cape and made my money from bossing. I haven't staked ever since unless it's on a private server. I just wanted to stake because I wanted to have billions of gold but it never worked out for me and it sounds like it didn't work out for you either. If I were you, I would just take a break from the game and chill out a bit.

Pay-to-play has more scripts so people can switch scripts and there is a lot more places to bot. In free-to-play, it's a lot smaller and less scripts to run. So, I imagine free-to-play just makes it easier to catch bots but I doubt there's a difference between the bot detection system they have. All probably same. I don't actually know. Just my guess on it. I hope that makes a little sense, sorry if it didn't.

I think one big mistake was that you continued botting on your main even though it was previously banned before. I would have quit botting it right there and started botting other accounts for gold and items.
