  1. You're perfectly fine, it says 800Mhz because your RAM is 1600MHz (800*2=1600). Depends what your temperatures are like when you're stressing it, though I will note, your CPU is not running at 17 degrees.
  2. I can do this, however why do you need 3-4 connections? Because it will only register one to my knowledge.
  3. Speccy is not reading incorrectly, that's the frequency of your RAM. Something you need to remember is that DDR = Double Data Rate, so double whatever Speccy tells you for RAM and it will tell you the operating frequency.
  4. Waiting for Haswell over Ivy Bridge was a waste of time, a very minimal increase of IPC and higher temperatures wasn't worth it. Considered waiting for the 900 series as opposed to my 780 Ti, once again, not worth it. TL;DR, It's better to make a purchase while you can, instead of repeatedly questioning your own decisions aimlessly.
  5. Speaking from experience, it's not worth waiting for the next architecture(s) to come out.
  6. I would pick the second laptop, the difference between the processors would be minimal to your general OS experience, but for virtual machines you will benefit from the extra cores.
  7. I'd recommend a Logitech G402/G502, currently using a Logitech G600 and I love it, no issues at all. Their sensors run up to 12k DPI, though I would never recommend going that high, you'd pick up more noise than actual movements.
  8. DPI is a selling feature for "Gamers", above a certain point it's useless and you pick up more noise than clean movement. I personally have a 8.2k DPI Logitech G600, but I only run it at 3k DPI with Windows mouse "Pointer" speed lowered to a point I find the speed comfortable. The reason I do that is so that the sensor is still accurate, but the speed is more controlled. I wouldn't be too concerned for DPI, I never care for it, I merely bought my mouse for the programmable keys.
  9. If you are willing to learn, I can link you to reputable guides and you can message me via Skype if you have further questions.
  10. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gYsTjX $1960.64 If you don't have a spare GPU sitting around, you'll want: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-ax54501gbk3sh for a video output. Just read you have no intention to build a system, nvm.
  11. I'd appreciate it if you could specify a budget, chances are you're better off with an extreme edition i7 as opposed to a workstation CPU, Xeons are expensive for features you will never use.
  12. You will lose everything, it will return to the state you received it in when you first bought it.
  13. I have never understood the hatred for safers, it's illogical to enter a fight with "rules" that make you more susceptible to losing your items, and those that safe are considered crap and have no integrity. Naturally there is a limit to safing, say eating at ~70-80 health when your opponent can barely hit 30s or something, but it's still ridiculous to claim someone is bad because they're not being inherently stupid as to risk their equipment.
  14. If you are willing to build your own, I can help you, 16GB of RAM is overkill for everything you mentioned. I typically don't bother providing prebuilts because they never perform optimally, an example would be the builds you link, 16GB of RAM isn't beneficial to anyone with a processor like that.
  15. What do you intend to use the system for? Because that's quite underpowered as the budget was thrown mainly towards the RAM for some reason.
  16. Your budget is far too small to actually do anything you want effectively.
  17. For what it's worth, it's a nice build for your first. Just avoid buying high frequency RAM as you will almost never get a notable difference from it, 1600MHz is a great sweet spot.
  18. I don't want to be that guy, but 2133MHz RAM was a bad choice, as was the capacity. PSU isn't the best either, it was manufactured by highpower, a company that makes OCZ's PSU's and they're notable for being bad.
  19. That's exactly what I do ;P The bottom left corner is a god among corners
  20. Gaming on three monitors is a very nice experience, really helps with the immersion. It's also very beneficial for those who do a lot of multi-tasking, only downside is you can actually lose your cursor sometimes. It sounds silly, but I sometimes have that issue.
  21. If you have more to spend, it's viable, depends how much and how often you intend to render. The chances are you won't require an i7 though, people just have an "i7 or nothing" mentality on these kinds of forums.
  22. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/4Ft76h Considerably more powerful, dropped out the 16GB of RAM because it's severely crippling your gaming experience. Changed the CPU to an AMD FX-8350 as it's much better for multi-threaded work (rendering and streaming) Changed the SSD to a Mushkin drive, I wouldn't touch Transcend as they use bad controllers. Changed the GPU to a much more powerful card, the PSU was also upgraded to a more reliable and powerful unit.
  23. What exactly is this system going to be used for? No-one can provide helpful advice without knowing this. Also, I'll assume £560 is your budget.
  24. That is not always the case, not to mention aircooling is considerably more reliable.
