For anyone whos wondering, the article is stating that GC algorithms have been adjusted to sweep dead objects when memory is needed (more specifically, for the young generation of heap). If objects aren't continuously being created within a short time frame, then its most likely not a problem. A better way to handle this situation is to profile your code, don't optimize based on assumptions

The thread is titled "improving", so don't take criticism so poorly. Use it as a ledge to pull yourself up.Although it works, there's a bunch of excess processing. Some may be ommited by the JIT, but thats implementation specific (someone using a different type of VM may not get the same benefits); it's best to avoid excess processing within code. Not only is it excess processing, there's a cognition issue. You are increasing the focus requirement needed to understand your code. This hurts when it comes to refactoring and scaling in the long run. Just because something works does not mean it works well. Constructive criticism is what opens your eyes to things you may have not realized before. Take all the criticism you can get, it builds character.

Update With todays update, Jagex removed a ton of "client-side information" that the script used for a lot of things (Puzzle solving, Tunnel pathfinding, Ladder locating, Determining which brother is in the tunnels etc.) Unfortunately it's probably going to take a few days to rewrite the script. My budget is no more than $500. I am looking for something that can handle all the basic functions of a computer(internet,writing papers, etc). However, I also want something that can easily handle playing games like runescape(especially handle multiple mirror clients). I also would prefer that this computer has a good size hard drive(like 500gb or so). Also I prefer windows 7; I don't really want anything later, and I don't like macs. My old computer is a piece of crap that had 111gb hard drive, could only handle one mirror client, doesn't even have a disc drive and is now falling apart(the screen won't even stay up anymore). Classes begin in 4 days so this is very urgent. Please let me know what price range i could expect to pay for the desired computer and what computer would be a good fit. Thanks in advance

Tried to do barbarian outpost for willows, with banking enabled. Sometimes it missclicks and goes to the other side of the outpost, so its just running around and then back around when it realizes it missed, Also, tried using the custom area, and it was super laggy, anything I can do about that? I don't want to nit pick, or come off in a condescending manner, however I've been babysitting it for the last 3 hours while working on other things on my computer. I'll say it started of fairly well averaging 18k-24k per hour for about and hour and ten minutes. Then I noticed it was stuck on the PAU board" pop up that tells you you're points, arrows left, etc. I also noticed it was "finding entity" twice per second, and hadn't done anything for 25 mins. Could this be a client issue? Slow computer? I can absolutely confirm my zoom is default, (checked multiple times) My screen is fixed. No doubt. Always right click is checked.ō What am I doing wrong?
