Dear community, I want to give you an idea where OSBot 2 is at. First of all I want to let you know that OSBot 2 is rewritten from the ground up to tackle some problems that you as a community pointed out. Things like CPU usage increasing over time in a scale of hours, something that never was a huge problem to most users but could be annoying for some. Besides that, increased overall performance is something everyone always likes to see. By writing an entire new core and taking time to do so, the client will score better at those points. At the moment, there is an abstract core written which is extendable for the most part to write implementations of other server revisions, such as RS3. Whether we will do so or not doesn't matter, it will be reusable. The entire GUI of the current OSBot was written using Swing. For OSBot 2 we are using JavaFX. JavaFX might not be as developed in certain areas as Swing, however those area's won't affect us. Besides that, JavaFX performs faster and gives more reliable output when it comes to exceptions. Not to mention, I personally and many others agree, I think that the look and feel of JavaFX is far better and promising than Swing. At the moment, a lot of the main GUI features are done. The client loads the applet, injects the client, hacks the canvas and such. So from here on, our first focus will be towards designing and organizing the new API. The API will have the same features as seen in the current OSBot and those features will be ported over. This is not a very hard job, most of it will just be refactoring. Other new features will remain secret and will be revealed as progress proceeds. Besides the API, which its functions will not have to be rewritten, we are planning and thinking about a second scripting engine. The current scripting engine is completely sequential in a blocking fashion. The new scripting engine, don't worry the old one won't disappear, we want to give a fully event driven asynchronous environment where you will dispatch tasks based on events and have control over the queue by using policies for tasks. We are looking forward writing this as Laz and I love writing new and fancy stuff. There are many other things that need to be done for OSBot 2, but the above is the majority. We can't give you an ETA, we don't want to stress any deadlines and instead focus on its quality. Laz has done a great job on it so far and now I'm joining him in this battle progress will speed up. Honestly the only people I could see getting any type of promotion right now would be either: @BotRS123: Online constantly and is mature enough to hold the position @Sex: I've seen some pretty good things from him @Ericthecmh: Very mature who's online a good amount of time and takes initiative. If you don't believe me take a look at the scripters union forum, he's always constantly updating threads and helping out any scripter who has an issue I would vote @Ericthecmh for Global. Eh. How about swizzbeat? He spams the forum its a forum mate you're suppose to post.. some users like myself have 2k+ posts........ its called being extremely active

It's a struggle in the staff team right now, and I don't know who you are to say that? I'll come on and there will be 5+ reports unanswered and nobody in the chatbox. I came in chat today to 70+ people and no mod was on or anything only Alek and he's busy with scripts I was the only chat assistant/mod online You should add more options up there. We don't need another admin another super yes and I'd go with Falixus, as for globals I don't think none of those up there should get it

Well if you have better ideas suggest them! I'm not denying you that right. I don't develop, I help manage the forums, in order to manage the forums properly we need more staff so the developers can focus on developing and not moderating.

I don't mind if they ask, but if every 3 chat messages are "is the bot down", "when will osbot be back", "how long has it been down for", etc, it gets pretty annoying. It'd be great if they checked the forums before asking the question, but they never do. If an active or sem-active members asks this question, I wouldn't mind, but people with less than 10 post counts asking this over and over is a whole different story. Even if it is a small restriction like 20 posts to keep leechers out, it would be good.

This won't happen, there are no rules saying you can't ask for help, people do it 24/7. When the bot goes down of course your gonna get flooded, as there are going to be more people in there than usual. The forums go through this same thing, but we aren't going to ban them or remove them from the chat box.

Yes, more active than usual.Starting tonight I'm going to be online nearly 24x7 until Saturday or Sunday. I'm going to have my house and a new internet all to myself at my grandparents. Have fun trying to break rules.

Log onto your Paypal, cancel the subscription. The website doesn't give a fuck and is money hungry. Sad to say... I paid over 150$ here just to end up with scripts that every1 who was handeling leave and now I'm stuck with useless scripts & ignored when asked for the smallest amount of refunds. Never paying a fucking penny here again trust me.

GUI Update also coming soon! I plan on re-hauling the entire interface to a much simpler, more elegant design; and though I do like the current one, I feel as If I can achieve much much better, being as graphic design has always been a hobby of mine. Multiple things could have triggered this, but that top two things that made me end up with this conclusion were: 1. Smart got led on and they juiced him for all he had left, filling his head with false hope. 2. I got tricked, again. The first time by Raflesia and now by Maldesto. Maldesto: Be good for 1-2 weeks and well see how you are then, if you've acted well then you will be promoted to CA. Me: ILL BE GOOD FOR YOU MASTER. I changed my entire look on life. I'm a much better person then I was before, but that's not solely because of him. I've had help from my good friend Smart and my best friend Holly, in real life. I thought I was doing great, and he even told me I was.... But then Smart got played, I was furious. He deserved that position and everyone knows it, so I decided to make a thread expressing my feelings on the subject... It had an image of what Smart asked me to make. "Smart, administrator community manager" And I said it's what it should have been. (Smart asked me to make this for him because he was preparing to be promoted) I had nothing against Alek or Maldesto. I messaged Maldesto on Skype on the 23rd, one week and 4 days (very rough guess) after he told me I could become CA again. He wouldn't respond for days, and finally he responds... He said no, I couldn't become a CA again. His reason was the thread I made. APPERENETALLY feedback isn't aloud. Saying I was trash talking osbot. Oh, but then they promote Gh0st? He trash talks osbot publically! He even cussed out Alek on teamspeak. (Sorry Gh0st, just need to get everything out there) He caused problems in the Chatbox 24/7. I can add it in as an update as soon as I have time to spend not working on my classes! Most people use DH. What would you use instead? Weapons, armor. Prossy/Innitiate/Monks robes etc etc. Just prayer boosting armour really
