SshinigamiS' Guide to make scammers GTFO. Throughout the past few weeks, there have been many scams going on in this services section of Osbot. And in many cases, the apparent "scammer" always wins, as there is not enough sufficient evidence. This guide is for everyone that buys services such as Firecapes/Torsos/Powerleveling/Questing etc. 1. Initial precautions you must take. Check if they are currently in a dispute or not. If they are, do not use them for any service. Always ask for a PM, no matter what. Even if you're 100% sure you've added the right Skype name, ask for a PM via Osbot. It only takes a few seconds, and it prevents you from being scammed by an imposter. Put a bank pin on your account to secure your valuables. If you do not have a bank pin, or the service requires your bank pin - transfer your items to a mule. If you do not have a mule, you can ask a trusted MM to hold it if they're willing to, such as Skype, Occazn, Moderators/Admins, or even myself. Assess how trustworthy the service provider is. The less trustworthy they seem, the higher the chance that they may scam you. So leaving 2mil on your account for a person that joined yesterday with no rank/feedback/40 posts, you're asking for trouble. QUESTION THEM ABOUT ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE REGARDING THEIR ToS. Don't be afraid to ask questions, you're trusting them with your account after all. Make sure you are both on the same page of understanding when it comes to the ToS so there's no confusion. 2. What to do after you've decided you want the service done: Getting a middleman is an extremely good option. You give your osgp to a middleman, and the service provider completes your service. Once you've confirmed the service has been completed, the middleman gives your osgp to the service provider. 3. What MUST do. Gather evidence in case you're getting scammed. For Firecaping: Record/screen shot your Range XP, without any editing to the picture. Better yet, use a program such as "Hypercam" To record your stats. You can easily calculate the XP difference to check how many npcs they've actually killed. So they won't be able to say "I died at jad" when they've only gained 5k range xp throughout the whole service. First and foremost, upon logging in after the service, take a screen shot of the IP address. Taking a video/screen shot of your stats along with the conversation you're having with the service provider is the best way to prove they've scammed you (If they did). ASK THEM TO CONFIRM YOUR SKILL XP WHEN THEY'VE LOGGED IN (the skill xp that will be increased during the service), you can also ask them to confirm the items that you're trusting them with, even though you should've printscreened it already. Also, ask them to take a screen shot during the service too, it takes literally less than 2 seconds to take a screen shot, so it's not really asking for much. Even if people don't ask me for printscreens, I send them printscreens as a method of updating them on the progress. 4. What I personally do: I personally would never trust a newbie with anything over 1mil. If you do decide to trust a person that doesn't seem very "trusted" due to feedback or whatever, make them go welfare if you're paying for a firecape service. No need for a fury, use a glory. Archer's ring? No, ring of recoil. Ranger boots? No, Snakeskin. Ask them all the questions you want regarding the service, and see how they respond. If they give out a negative vibe, or an agitated response, that's generally not a good sign. Also, check if they know their stuff. Risk items that you won't mind potentially losing. I'm sure everyone has an amount they won't cry over if they get scammed. Don't go over that limit, unless you absolutely have to (depending on the service). 5. What's happened to me in the past: A newbie wanted to join my thread for Firecaping, and I geared up one of my accounts to see if he can get a firecape on it. Before I gave him the username/password, I decided to test his knowledge on the fight caves, in terms of luring methods/supplies/armour/stats etc. One of my questions was "How many super restores should you have used by the time you reach up to wave 30 on a 70def 74range 43pray account?" His answer was 6 full super restore pots. That means, he should gtfo and stop wasting my time. Someone told me they could help powerlevel my slayer legit, none botting. I asked how long for 20 to 77. He said a few hours. That = Gtfo. Make sure they're knowledgeable on the service they're providing. Question them. They're providing a service, they should know 100% about it. You can come to the Osbot chat room and ask if the information the Service Provider is stating is correct or not. Message to moderators/admins:

In this section of the guide, I will be explaining and going over what is actually a bot and how they work. To begin, a bot is an application that is programmed to run automated tasks over and over again. In our world today, there are many different kinds of bots good and bad. There are email bots, spam bots, security bots, and in this case gaming bots. OSBot is a Runescape bot built and programmed in Java. The purpose of the bot produced by OSBot is to allow players to spend less time in-game performing tasks when the bot itself performs the tasks you want over and over again. But, doing so your account and wealth are at risked because it violates the Runescape Rules. Later in this thread you will learn how to bot safer and secure to dodge the incoming bullets from Jagex. Speaking of secure, not all bot applications are safe on the internet. There are many different kinds that can infect your computer using FUD (Fully Undetectable) programs, but rest assure OSBot is safe. Perhaps now you are interested in botting and experiencing the excitement and wonderful community OSBot has to offer. You can begin by downloading the bot on the homepage located here. In this section I will be introducing what actually is a "script" and how to upload one using OSBot. A script is pretty much what it sounds like, but instead of in the tense of a play think of it as lines of code instead. Then you will have to drop the files or file into the correct spot. Here is a picture on how to go about doing this. Now, as seen in the picture above there is a script folder. You need to open that folder and copy and paste the script in there for it to work. How to make them work with the bot client. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once you have gotten everything figured out and you have got some experience with botting, you will need to know how to bot safe and efficiently. Botting safe isn't easy and one mess up could sacrifice your account. The things to look out for today are: Location of Bot Busts/BansIf you are unfamiliar with the area and how the bots work around it it is advised to know the location before you continue botting. Most Bot Busts happen when Jagex Moderators and normal Moderators come by and manually ban you. Knowing specific locations where they seem to come and ban players is a good idea to stay safe from getting the ban hammer.Usual Time of BansThis information is VERY useful, however don't rely on it all the time. With my experiences, I have been banned botting chins on two different accounts three times on different days around the same time they each happened. I figured out that those bots were getting banned at around 4AM-9AM EST and so avoiding those time periods was a safer route to take. (Since noticing that, I haven't been banned throughout the day) In general though, knowing that Jagex Moderators live in England and the time there is different than most players can give quite an advantage. Knowing that they are awake during certain hours gives them a possibility of logging onto the game and going for bot hunts. While they are offline there is an opportunity for players to bot and get away with it. However this can be risky, but thought through it should end up fine. Clan Chat​This may be a shock to many players, and some may not believe. But, when a bot or user is in a clan chat for example; Mod Mark's Clan Chat, there is a lower chance of that bot being banned because the system can recognize if a user is in a clan chat and usually means that they are active in the chat. This has been proven to slow done the rates and chances of ban rates but does not work 100% of the time. Try it out, couldn't hurt! Hot Bots​This is a very understandable topic and that is why I won't go to deep into it. Don't bot at a place that has massive bans everyday/every time of day. That raises the chance of other accounts of yours getting banned because Jagex is starting to ban accounts with matching IP's.Examples of Hot Spots Now: (Last Updated, 6/30/13) Chins Rock Crabs Rune Sudoku Granite Locations Master Farmer Viruses​When you look into getting a script make sure before you download and use it, ask to see the source code. All SDN scripts are verified by the developers of OSBot that the code is safe, but it is the local scripts to look out for. If you are suspicious of a file you always have the right to ask for the source code or proof of it being virus free. Certain scripts have strings attached to them where they can grab and record your accounts info and bankpin. It will be to late when they get that because the next morning you will be in lumbridge bank with nothing on your account. Key Points: How to Bot Safe! Locations of Botting Time of Bans Hot spots Viruses -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With our final and last section to go over, I will end this with the type of bots found on Runescape. You may be asking yourself right now, what does he mean by type of bots? Well there are 4 Main type of bots used in both forms of Runescape today. Combat/Powerleveling, GoldFarm/MoneyMaking, Tool Bots, and Questing Bots. Each type of bot has the same potential risks of being banned but they have different rates of chance! Combat/Powerleveling BotsOne of the most used bots on 07 Runescape, these bots are here to train and power level the account. These bots have high risk of getting banned because they are easy to find, but not as much as goldfarmers. Combat/Powerleveling Scripts: Ande's Fighter GMC Exterminate Crabs Note: These scripts are local so please keep in mind to view the source code if you are worried. GoldFarming/Moneymaking BotsThe most used bot in all of runescape is this one. This bot depending on the method has a HUGE risk of getting banned fast and sometimes permanently for first offenders. I wouldn't advise using these types of bots at the moment.GoldFarming/Moneymaking Scripts: Diclonius Fungus Abuse's Nature Runner Note: These scripts are local so please keep in mind to view the source code if you are worried. Tool BotsThese bots normally don't carry a risk or chance of being banned. They are normally used to get to places, auto typing, and so forth.Tool Bots: Hp Display/Map Info Abuse's AutoTyper Note:These scripts are local so please keep in mind to view the source code if you are worried. Quest BotsThe least common type of bot to be found on runescape. These were once popular by another site about a year ago or so and the chance of getting banned were very small! At the moment, there are no scripts that deal with quests open to the public for 2007 Runescape. It's a waste of time and space, especially since my internet speed is extremely slow this past month, so loading a page just to see May 26th 19:04:33 by XXXX on it is quite a nuisance. I know this is my own opinion but surely a few would agree and most would disagree. Nevertheless I still would like to see this seen through instead of it being tossed aside (exaggerating ). Eh, it's up to you guys to actually help a brother out.

i got banned last night and was wondering if they take stuff from 07 and eoc cause both had loads on them.

I'm just making a point, no need for flame, this can be kept as a nice orderly discussion please. In reply i'd like to say that there should always be atleast one in the chat there are around 4-5-6 chatbox mods currently? 24/5 = 4.8 hours each but then as i said there are often no-one online for 6 or 7 hours so then thats only 3.8 hours each, they need a rota or something because there is always stuff happening in chat that needs to be sorted. Maybe get 2 or 3 more? that way its like 3 hours each and im sure there would always be atleast one online, some may stay on for 7 hours at a time BUT THERES NO CHATBOX MOD TO STOP ME FLAMING YOU DOUCHE You fail to understand people have lives, this isn't a job..More of a hobby to become a mod. I dont want to be chatbox mod to be quite honest, whats the point. i help people when im online, i dont need a fancy green name to help someone. Stark, here are five bugs. * Bot does NOT re-enter portal after being spawning outside of your house (could be due to 6h or reason stated below) Note: This does NOT apply if bot misclicks or I click the portal on purpose, it'll re-enter in those 2 cases. * After emergency teleporting/Anti-PK bot stands still in house with state "Walking to Abyss", then after 5 mins gets logged out and stands at portal instead Note: After changing my settings to NOT bring food with me to the abyss, the bot goes to bank and withdraws food to heal to full (or close) hp. * After emergency teleporting from inside the abyss, bot tabs home, uses glory and RUNS RIGHT BACK TO ABYSS with <20hp. This needs an urgent fix. * After eating INSIDE the abyss, the bot does not resume "handling obstacles". It just stands there thinking its doing it * Anti-PK doesn't work. The bot knows it's getting hit by a player (output log says so) but it doesn't tab, it tries to go to zammy mage instead. This is good if you're already teleblocked but it should try to tab first and if the message "A Teleblock has been cast on you!" shows in your chat then it should try to make it for the mage. Can you fix the first part of this bug at least? Plsplspls EDIT: I saw a PKer and brought a full load of food and no ess (to waste his stuff obviously) and the bot was still on and eating but it didn't try to emergency teleport until it had eaten like 10 lobsters, please make it emergency RIGHT AWAY when it detect "Player not facing NPC..." thingy I am glad however, that I haven't died from the bot itself yet. It definitely is safe as I looked through code and checked it. Works flawlessly, and this guy also dedicated LOTS OF HIS OWN TIME to help me out, even though he didn't even know me. If this becomes paid script, I will gratefully pay every penny for this and every other of his scripts and never regret it. That's how good guy this pal is at what he does.

hate to sound like a leacher but the reason this script should be free is it could be easily recreated. don't get me wrong i think there are plenty of scripts that should be earning, however it is my belief that a quality scripter could create a script to accomplish the same tasks with in a matter of hours. There are others on other sites and have been other scripts here all free that kill men and loot herbs. I am however grateful for the script as a viable way to train my obby mauler and fund it. i will upload a proggy later

This is flawless so far. This is exactly what I needed because other willow scripts need to be updated. Expand this and add maples and stuff, and I can see this in the SDN
