Does anyone else find it funny how usually very few people care about football but when world/eu cup is happening everyone is suddenly hyped?

Kinda funny to see how 1 month ago noone talked about football and suddenly every single shop has 10 special offers for the eu cup and is advertising with the national football team now

 

And 2 days after the cup is over everything goes back to normal

No, because it's a form of nationalism and pride. I totally get it. 

 

Like everyone else said. I never follow football, however, when its world cup, I like to watch my country play because its to do with national pride, as you are supporting your country and watching them perform.
