Alek Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Earlier this month I posted a picture of my computer, which was caseless for a while because I brought all the parts on the plane. Today my case came in along with a new processor and heatsink. Before issues: 1. The old heatsink did not seat properly because one of the four pressure screws was broken/not attached. 2. It was not sitting on motherboard mounts, meaning that the heatsink bracket created an uneven, potentially dangerous surface. Before: After: 4
Administrator Maldesto Posted April 13, 2016 Administrator Posted April 13, 2016 Nice You picked it all up and threw it in a case 3
Muffins Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 did you use hammer and sickle to put it together? 1
DragonAlpha Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Looks like something you would expect to see in Kazahkstan. Edited April 13, 2016 by DragonAlpha 2
ANIMA VESTRA Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 is that heatsink hypermaster cooler 212? they make really good heatsinks for processors that generate a shitton of heat.
Alek Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 is that heatsink hypermaster cooler 212? they make really good heatsinks for processors that generate a shitton of heat. Good call, it is. This is my second one because of the bracket issue from my first one. AMDs usually run hot so I don't take any chances with the OEM heatsink.
Madara Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 is that heatsink hypermaster cooler 212? they make really good heatsinks for processors that generate a shitton of heat. Yeah, I'm using the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO on my i5-6600k and it's excellent.

Meh, some yell that it's the best thing ever but when I checked out reviews (a lot of them because I couldn't decide) it appeared not everybody was actually so enthusiastic about it. Eventually I went for a Noctua NH-L9I. Have it for 6 months now and very happy with it 1

lisabe96 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Noctua makes solid coolers, would reccomend/10 With the stock cooler it would run really hot when watching videos full screen or playing games (LoL & AOE 2) I didn't want to get a gfx card for those low end games and went for the cooler, everything runs smooth and cool now
Timekeeper Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) I'm personally more interested in the potato you used to take the pictures. I expected some tech CEO setup, this looks like a setup for some Bestbuy employee using his employee discount to save the most he can. Sweet rig though brah Also; What's all the tech to the left? I know one is prob a router or some shit but what is all the rest? Edited April 13, 2016 by Timekeeper
