Windows 10 help :(

Featured Replies

Windows 10 issues, I cannot open OSbot without selecting an app for it to open up with, I've tried internet explorer, and wasn't sure how to run it on Java. Can anyone suggest how do I this? I would like to use it before I leave for the weekend. Thanks

Right click osbot file > "Open with..." > Choose an app > select Java

I was having the exact problem you are describing and this is what worked for me:

  1. With the start menu search "Default app settings", select it.
  2. At the bottom you'll see "Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults", select reset.
  3. Now, make sure you have the latest java installed.
  4. Then right click osbot and select "run as administrator". It should open automatically.

Again, this was what worked for me; it may not work for you.

anyone else have anything that might work? i've tried everything in this thread and it still doesn't open for me. a black window pops up and very quickly goes away

Mate i can solve this very easy!:

  1. www.Java.com Update It
  2. Go to this site and install JDK - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
  3. Then right click the .jar file of osbot and select open with Java

======================================================

If this fails to help open the bot then do this:

Open up Note Pad and paste this code into -

cd C:/Users/%username%
for /f "delims=" %%x in ('dir /s /od /b OSBot*.jar') do set recent=%%x
java -jar "%recent%"
echo %recent%
pause

Save it as all files and title it > osbot.bat

Save it next to the same place your osbot.jar is > Hit run on osbot.bat and your sorted gl!.

you cant select open with java u can only click the folder guys dont tell ppl to do stuff you havent tried
