MillSup Posted April 12, 2019 Share Posted April 12, 2019 I've recently received a temp ban on my main account for macroing, and I've decided to not bot on the account anymore. Even though I use RuneLite for most of my scaping, I did enjoy using the osbot client for AFK training; my laptop screen has an 4K resolution, so the bot window is really tiny. Since I have no second monitor or something, this is perfect for watching a movie whilst training, as the client doesn't take up half of my screen. Therefore I intend to use the osbot client for regular training. Could this result in a ban? And if so, is there any other client I could use that would achieve the same effect? The RuneLite client is not resizable, and the original client can be resized, but doing so would crop off most of the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The only botting I did on these accounts was for travel b/c I was lazy, they were all manually made. I did have the 8 accounts on only 2 different proxy- which may have raised some flags. This has me wondering if using other clients is bannable, or maybe using proxies is bannable? Again I admit I botted for travel but it was for a very short period... less than a few minutes honestly. People get false banned quite often. Even when using Jagex's client. Juiced308 Posted April 14, 2020 Share Posted April 14, 2020 (edited) I cannot say based on my limited experience with OS Bot but about 15 years ago my friend was banned for only using a bot client and not actually macroing. Jagex claimed he was macroing however. He liked the interface as we well know just how bad the original rs client is. Actually when his pure received the ban it turned him onto botting and he later went to go take over Reinet / STS bot alongside Reines. HAAA funny how life works out sometimes. Edit: I seem to remember now that he would afk strength training in the wilderness and used the bot client to auto relog in after npcs became non-aggressive and his account timed out.
