October 12, 20178 yr visual studio is amazing, but for java? what? i've heard that it was a new feature at some point but do people use it? Most used for java is IntelliJ and Eclipse

October 12, 20178 yr As Khaleesi said, it doesn't really matter what IDE you pick because it doesn't improve much. I personally use Eclipse and Intellij (on and off). If you're a new comer, I'd suggest intellij since the UI is more user friendly and can be less confusing than intellij. Just pick a suitable IDE that you like because it all comes down to personal preference. The commonly known IDE's for Java is Intellij, Eclipse and Netbeans.
