June 22, 20178 yr shall i major in psychology i wanna be a therapist nd work in los angeles (im being 100% serious)
June 22, 20178 yr Personally, I would say no. Unless, you want to go into the medical field, I wouldn't recommend doing Psychology. This is due to the decline in that field (at least in the Dallas Metroplex). Nonetheless, I would recommend doing a dual major/minor in Pysch.
June 22, 20178 yr Honestly a lot of people major in psychology and then are left without a job or end up being a psychology teacher.
June 22, 20178 yr i would add it as a minor, unless you have the passion to teach. then do masters in psych. job outlook isnt great as just a major
June 22, 20178 yr Go into something that you're interesting in doing and you love learning about it everyday.
June 22, 20178 yr Go into something that you actually like doing. And yes I'm being serious. If you truly love your job, the money will come.
June 22, 20178 yr I always kept this in mind. If I enjoy doing it -> I can get a job. Since if you master something > More job potential. Same goes for programming I think. If you learn programming yet don't enjoy it, you can't master it. Edited June 22, 20178 yr by Visty
June 22, 20178 yr You'll be jobless with a psychology degree, if you dont care about that then yeah take it. Otherwise, a degree is only worth getting if its in STEM fields since those actually open doors to more jobs
