Can we be stricter in the market?

Can we actually have mods moderate the marketplace?

Not trying to be an ass, but it's annoying to go through every thread and see people derail threads and other bs. Can there be stricter rules as the current ones obviously aren't working or just aren't being enforced. Someone tries to buy gold and their thread gets spammed with @'insert name here' or inb4chargeback posts and it's pretty ridiculous. It's nothing more than spam to be honest and it's against the rules but it' never enforced.

I know people will say 'report the post' but it's basically every single thread. If someone posts a thread and you're not buying/selling then you don't need to post in the thread. Simple as that. Posting @RoomScape (My name as not to call others out) on every single thread to get my attention is a bit much. They're either really lazy and don't look for these things so you're acting like their slave or they don't care enough because you're there scouring the market for them for free.

Then there are people who treat market like it's spam and just spam the thread to oblivion. I see someone trying to buy gold and there are 10 replies of people calling him a scammer or making @ posts for others to see. I just find it annoying to see it on such a constant basis on top of the fact that it's against the rules.

there should also be a 20+ vouch rule for account selling to keep the retards out

Hmm. I would be down for this but there are retards regardless to be honest. Accounts need something done but I don't know what. I would honestly just make a big ass disclaimer stating that any account can be recovered and let those stupid enough to buy to risk their own money.

But I think this is for another suggestion thread. There are tons of suggestions for accounts, though. It's just hard to regulate in my opinion.

Edit: This thread is for general marketplace so accounts are part of it.

I agree. But sometimes I like to suggest people for services like yesterday I recommended sysm for a quest list order or master for void/torso because I used them before and they're good. If they don't want me to do that then they should just tell me.

Why suggest people for services if they didn't ask for recommendations? If they ask for it that's something different but I don't ever see that. People just go in and post. If sysm is that interested I'm sure he'd be able to see the thread himself or have his thread bumped where people can see it easily.

You can't expect us moderators to check every single thread in the market for spam and what not. If the members of the community are ignoring it, then theres a chance that we will too. Any posts that are reported which are spam or as you say in your post are removed and depending on the post, possibly even the poster is warned too.

Because the whole concept of free advertising lmao. Why wouldn't you want to be recommended? In my whole 21 years of living I've never heard someone say "don't recommend me".

Does the rule include people posting @RoomScape in every thread? That's annoying to see also.

I agree with this and as staff positions are all voluntarily i think there should be 3-5 market mods that are not allowed to have active threads

I'm sure that person would love it but it's not fair to everyone else. I'm not saying he doesn't want it. I'm saying it shouldn't be allowed because then everyone will go spam threads with that and it's completely unnecessary.
