There really should be a stricter process for verified also. Secondly, the previous MM section was set up so that the verified mms were hidden away and the regular mms got the brunt of the traffic which is pretty backwards to be honest.

I don't think the name makes much of a difference. The biggest thing is just the requirements to achieve it. Some people hate it saying it's a monopoly but that's just because they don't feel like working towards the rank. I also think the vmm or OMM or whatever should require general approval from the staff and from the community as a whole also.

Verified middlemen with pinned threads could work; meaning it's easy for people looking for Middlemen to shadestep into the right area they want to be - with a safe verified middlemen who's been approved by staff. It would ultimately mean people no longer thrall down the stairs into a middleman who's likely to scam a small deal. VMM and OMM would also give off a good radar to the community; making it clear which middleman are great. In my opinion, you shouldn't be a middleman (verified or OMM) if you don't acolyte one around the community in a proper matter.

If the vmm threads ever get pinned then that'll be the death of regular mm threads. Especially when there are enough vmm to cover the first page meaning that regular MM won't be able to ever make it to page one. I think it's a bad idea.

There should be a pinned post my mald explaining the Middleman rules and also talking about where to find the OMM or VMM and the difference's of why one is safer ect.

I mean, I guess so. Think it would be a waste since it'd be ignored by so many but it wouldn't hurt I guess. 

Or just have every MM and vmm thread in one section with a pinned thread stating every vmm?

even having it like the gold selling section where you pick Rs3 or OSRs, when you open the MiddleMen section have no post but two sub sections VMM/OMM or MM

I guess that could work.

or just reverse it how it currently is. Make verified the default and unverified in a sub section people have to click on. I don't know.

that could also work but that would also give everyone trying to aim for VMM/OMM a harder time because they are hidden. I guess though that would make you/decode and anyone else thats already VMM/OMM very busy

Although it seems unfair, it isn't really, not in my opinion. We've worked hard to be where we are now, it wasn't just given to us, we weren't given any preferential treatment or anything either. Just pure longevity on the forums and a lot of dedicated time in the market section.

Edit: Would also like to add that there were only 3 VMM's before the whole change, and i highly doubt that number to increase by much any time soon either.

We will never give community a vote on who gets vmm. Then it's a popularity contest. Why should people be able to vote if they've probably never even used the guy.

Not really a vote but can post either positive or negative comments which the staff can take into account. I don't know, just a suggestion. I do think staff should look at everyone though. If people have a bunch of impostor scam reports yet never take action against it or if they get people scammed by having stupid PM's or if they have a number of solved scam reports then that should be a factor in becoming a VMM.
