oboy that would be dope, it wouldn't be too much work for you would it? having official scripts might make you guys look better to ppl who google "osrs bot" and see osbot and will stay?

I still want to have diversity and give scripters a home, but on the other hand its ridiculous how a scripter leaves and their shitty static id scripts break.

I'd only support this if it doesn't take away any dev time for actually developing the client and what not - that'd be a pity, to be honest.

Wouldn't this also make it harder for upcoming scripters to get scripts on the SDN or would it not matter?

It would make it harder for them to get a competitive script on the SDN such as a woodcutter, miner, fletching, or fishing script. The current scripts in those categories would still exist though (provided they are still doing well).

Edit: Initially it would take us away a bit from working on the client, but we would drastically make up that time by having less management on the SDN.

ya, gotta get the opinions of the scripters on the sdn. they could help find a balance of how far to go with how many official scripts there are def have to keep it simple. too little is bad and too many is bad

Maybe it would encourage scripters to take on greater tasks aswell, as getting a script on the SDN would require a more complex script and be "a bigger achievement" than before.
