They sure do, depending on the rarity of course. Examples that have been previously said in this thread like 'Wow' or 'God' would definitely go for a lot.

It all depends on what letters they are, and if the user name makes sense. If it's just a mixture of random letters and numbers it won't be worth much.

I do find it a bit odd that about a week after him getting banned he got global and didn't even keep the TWC. I would have kept the TWC even after he refunded, as it isn't fair to others who did the same thing but still have the TWC. (eg., , @lolmanden)
