You won't get banned unless you're botting on the same IP (you can get chain banned) or if you're RWT. If you sell gold and get caught for RWT I'm pretty sure you'll get multiple accounts banned if they're found to be linked to one another. If you're doing neither then you shouldn't get banned.

If you have issues you can try to buy credit in store with GP, but the rates are normally higher.

Hah yeah I used to do that. I’d have to switch locations between buying and selling. Remember Varrock big bank used to be the spot? I did that for a bit but it got old kind of quick. i killed cows for the longest, though. I fell for a few but never the same. People are pretty creative with scams, though.
