OSBot Update – Transition to the New Native (C++) Client
The current Java/Stealth client is temporarily back online, but it will break any time soon for the last time. This will mark the definitive end of support for the Stealth/Java version of OSBot.
For reference: Stable 2.7.71 release thread
Our team is now fully focused on developing a brand-new Native C++ Client, which we plan to release soon (no ETA available yet). This has been a major undertaking, requiring @Patrick, @Khaleesi and @Zach to completely rewrite the OSBot client from the ground up to support the Official OSRS Client.
Important notes on scripts:
Existing Java scripts will not be compatible with the new native client and will not carry over.
We cannot require or expect our script writers to rewrite their entire repositories for free. Many scripts were developed and sold in Java for the previous client—some have been available in the Script Store for over 5 years. Script writers are free to offer discounts on their new native client scripts if they so desire.
This transition decision was made by the OSBot staff, not the individual script writers.
If you recently purchased a script (within the last few weeks), feel free to contact us for a refund.
Membership changes:
The new native client will be available exclusively to VIP members for the foreseeable future.
We will be phasing out the Sponsor and Lifetime Sponsor tiers.
The current VIP category will be renamed to C++ VIP.
All existing VIP members who wish to renew can do so at the same price, allowing your membership to continue seamlessly.
You are free to opt out and cancel your OSBot membership at any time if you prefer.
Lifetime perks were purchased for the lifetime of the original Stealth/Java product. As this is an entirely new client built from scratch, lifetime access does not transfer.
All current Sponsors will receive 1 free month of VIP once the new client launches. Simply DM us after release to claim it.
We appreciate your patience and support during this transition—it's a big step forward for OSBot.
Thanks,
- The OSBot Team
