Not forever, if i ever choose to go premium (Possibly soon ish), it will be taken off your SDN unless you buy it. Ive heard Magic short bow (i) can be good but the current SDN version doesn't have the special attack support nor does it have Super ranging potions. (In the next update ready to push). What i did instead of blowpipe sometimes was use broad bolts (or rune depending on the prices) and just use rune crossbow while using absorption potions and overloads. wasn't that bad EXP to be honest. I would recommend doing Absorptions with rock cake > Prayer potions with that defence. Inventories will probably last about the same but save you a lot of money.
