Option to buy limited-scripts

Featured Replies

I think some scripts, mainly goldfarming ones should come in two versions;

1) Limited version, you'd only be able to run ONE account at a time (NOT locked to a certain RSN).

2) Unlimited version, run how many accounts you want at a time.

BOTH versions should also come either with a montly version or lifetime.

1 would obviously be a lot cheaper since it's clearly not intended for goldfarming. You might think OSBot would lose money from this but no. I recently got a 24h trial given to me by FrostBug to try his awesome PuroPuro script, was very satisfied with it, when I went on to buy it I noticed it was $9.99 a month I backed off. That's just WAY too much money to pay for a script that I only intend on running on my main to make some coins. Now if you're a goldfarmer with 10 accounts ready to make 500k/h, that makes sense but not to me. So I decided not to purchase it, FB loses money so does OSBot and I lose out on a great script.

Support or nah?

I support it as long as scripters don't get greedy and raise the prices on the unlimited scripts sky high.

The only scripts IMO that should cost a ton is if you hire a scripter to make you a private script, since those are the ones that will reduce your bans like crazy.
Private scripts are not allowed on this site though.

The script in question has made at least 70.000 (that's seventy thousand) dollar for all its combined users in one year.

The script in question can make 20$/day/ account EASILY.

Absolutely no support, if anything the script should be made more expensive.

OSBot scripters are cool, not too much greed. :)

I know they're not allowed but I think if you talk to Mald and the scripter and share the dough 50-50 between them, :mald: should be fine with it. NOT sure though, my opinion is based on the fact that the reason it's not allowed it because OSBot doesn't get their piece the cake, but this way they would. :P

Support seems like a good based idea, though I wonder if the devs/scripters will support.

FrostBug himself, the creater of the script, agreed with my suggestion in the chatbox, idk what you're running your mouth about. And I do not know honestly why you're pissed off. It'd benefit everyone using this script (and not using it).

$20 a day? That's 8M. The 24h I tried it, I made 400k/h tops. Sure, if you want to suicide it for 20h, go ahead. And the way to 83 hunter is really risky too. Lots of people don't even get there. There is no denying in that this is a good goldfarming script, but there's only so many d imps and everyone on here isn't a goldfarmer. If you check the poll I made not too long ago you will see that over 60% the people who participated are here to train their accounts. Just because he agreed does not validate your suggestion.

Botre made a very excellent point. Frostbug put a price on the script he thinks it's worth. Either you buy it or you don't

It's a good price if goldfarming is your cup of tea. But I'm sure there's more people like me who don't buy it because, simply, they're not goldfarmers and cannot take advantage of the script like goldfarmers can. To me $10 is a lot for a month, since maybe I don't wanna bot PuroPuro for more than a day or two atm. To a goldfarmer $10 is WAY too cheap. Like he said, they can probably make close to ~20 PER account/day. $10 for a lifetime copy to run ONE account would be a fair price (IMO), I do not set the prices though.

Either way, the suggestion would open up so much more options to FrostBug and he'd make more $ off of it and so would OSBot, and lets not sugarcoat it, $ is why FrostBug does it and why OSBot exists.

It's commonly known as instancing. We have been looking into the possibilities of it and over the next few months we plan to roll out some updates that may certainly include it.
