Where to buy iphone?

I currently live in England, UK and I'm going on holiday to California pretty soon and I'm going to be getting a new phone and I'm going to get a iPhone 6 (I can already see the fan-boy comments) and here in the UK the Iphone 6 16GB costs £539 to buy the hand set ($808 approx) however, on the American apple website the Iphone 6 16GB costs $649 (£433).

In conclusion, It looks like I would save £106//$159 if I bought it whilst on holiday in the USA. However, are there any catches? Like are American "cell-phones" any different to UK Mobile phones etc? Or do you have to pay taxes etc?

Ty in advance

I believe that the plug sockets are different to that in the Uk but i would imagine as the iphone has a lead which can be removed from the plug you could simply slot it into one back here. Possibly network difficulties you may have to have the phone unlocked for your specific network as it may not be supported in the US. I would check with wherever you are buying from if any problems that could arise. My housemate bought a phone from Thailand that works perfectly fine in England so i would imagine buying one in America would be the same  smile.png

You don't, IPhones are junk, I want to throw mine at the wall every day.

Ya I have suffered with that problem with HTC/Samsung/Nokia these past few years resisting the urge to join the fan-boy iPhone trend :c

Ty, ya the leads with the apple chargers are quite universal. On the apple USA website it says you can buy the Iphone "sim-free" so I'm assuming this is unlocked to whatever network so that I can just buy my own sim-only contract. I'm sure the people in the apple store can help:)

Don't listen when people say iPhones are junk. It's personal preference. I like it because of the simplicity, and a majority of people have it around where I live so we can do the same shit like iMessage. Android is cool in customization and all, but I don't like the platform. Returning to your question, make sure it's unlocked internationally. Unless your using a prepaid carrier, Im pretty sure it'll work, but I have no experience using it out of the country. iPhones are iPhones, I doubt they have a certain iPhone for every damn country.
