Account rentals/Commission staking

Featured Replies

We already bot, so why not rwt? I think these trades should occur at both parties risk. Thoughts?

Agreed, it's not like we particularly care for the in-game rules so as long as the transactions are secured on both parties sides it should be fine :D

Easier scams.

I let you use my account, i take a picture of it having 50M on it, i then xfer the 50M to my other account say you stole it. You have to pay 50M or you're banned. You can't prove it either can I.

Then make a rule the amount on the account won't matter. Just the acc. Like I said, at their risk. Feel free to rent or commission stake but your risking your own biscuit, so you find someone highly reputable.

Well in essence, we will have a greater number of scam reports (possibly) due to users trying to pull a fast one. The more scammers we have the more it taints the reputation of OSBot, for that reason I never will support this or any gambling for that matter.

This is just my opinion though ^_^

More market options = more market influx = more scams. It's both a positive and a negative trade off but I belive it's beneficial for the community.

Account rentals are never beneficial for the community. 9/10 times it ends in a scam or an accused scam. If you sell an account it is far less than that or gold for that matter. Betting is something I didn't put in the rules, and I wouldn't be against changing it, since if you use a MM it should be simple.

in a sense you basically described commission staking. If you post a set of rules on Gambling then it will be benificial. I can help.

By account rentals = staking....

People don't carry their banks on accounts for renting maxed mains. Just saying. lol.

Thats why you pay for the hour + leave a deposit for the charge of the whip in case of scams.

Collateral can also be issued. +1

There's too much risk and not enough reward to allow account rentals. I'm all for free market, however strict rules would have to be put in place in order to offer it in any market. The administration would have to say that some things regarding account rentals simply can't be disputed.

For example:

Indisputables:

  • Items on the account that weren't being used (or granted access via the owner of said account) cannot be disputed.
  • Offenses obtained during the account rental other than a macroing/bot offense cannot be disputed.

Cautions:

  • ALWAYS take pictures of the last IP on the account (if you're the one with the lent account)
  • Carefully read the ToS regarding that specific loaner
  • Only lend to trusted users to limit risk
  • Etc

Also they can be pre-approved by staff decision. This does not make them dependable though. Just suggestions. :)

That is true! That could potentially become a stress on staff but it's probable.
