I can only bump one thread of mine every 5 hours or so.

I think giving my forum permission set an override to VIP would fix it, but I'm not sure.

The bump button is not a VIP only feature is it? (I'd hope not)

 

He's saying that maybe his Ex-Staff rank/permissions are causing issues, so switching him to/adding VIP or something like that would possibly correct the issue.

(Or they could just check into the permissions of ex-staff rank and see if something is up)

To have a lower bump button time you need VIP/Sponsor/100$ Donor etc

he has none of the above.

Well, he's saying that he can only bump 1 thread every 5 hours.

Usually, you should be able to bump as many threads as you want at a time, given the last bump on that thread was 5+ hours prior.

I'll try to forward this to Mald, since I don't know how to bypass an issue in ACP in order to edit ranks.

Of course, what I suggested would be a quick fix if it worked, but I would have a lower bump buffer than I am supposed to.

No @ tagging and no mention button under user, do we really have to go into Special BB code menu and enter in username, or just type it by hand?

All you can do is member tag like this - @Maldesto.

But it doesn't trigger a notification either.

i had access to vip forum when I wasnt vip aswell so i don't think its actually intended to be that way, they just havent revoked access

I think this happens when ranks are manually changed.

 

Like how VIP or Sponsors often stay for extended periods of time after they get TWC removed and returned after

If the override hadn't worked when I was demoted I would still have the ability to ban users since my last forum permission override was on the Moderator set.
