People will go back on their word as someone else may bid higher after the timer ends and if they're quitting I'm not sure an infraction here would deter them from taking the higher bid.

  • 4 weeks later...

The seller would set the starting bid price...

But umm, what would be the punishment for users who bid on the account and then decide not to buy it? Also, what would happen to the seller should he put up a low starting bid and then decide not to sell either because he has second thoughts about it or didn't get the price he paid or he sold on another site? Then what? A ban would be too harsh for this, but we need these set up.

Is there even a way to implement this?

This could also help out scammers since they can find an easy sale for their account...

I like the idea but I feel as though it could easily be abused.  Great suggestion though!

If you bid, you have to pay if you win.

If you don't, you get a time frame to pay the user, if you fail so you get banned.

Same for the seller.

I like the idea. It really annoys me that people don't carry on with the auctions they started becuase the price isn't high enough, evem tho they set the fucking starting price. This should be enforced.

I would think that a ban is a pretty harsh punishment for something like this.

What happens when the person goes inactive for a while due to unexpected irl problems? What happens if his mule or main with all his money on it gets banned? What happens if the person bid on the wrong account by accident? What happens when the person was expecting something different foot some reason and bid on the account then later realised the account didn't have certain requirements he would like?

Should he be banned in those situations?

Same with the seller. What happens if the account gets banned prior to the end of the bidding? What happens if the seller doesn't like the winning bidder and either doesn't sell to him or mald up an excuse like the account is banned in order not to sell? What happens when the two traders can't agree on a MM because one of then is trying to get our of the trade?

i see.

How about warning points and a temp ban only from

the market section if it happens again?

Should be accumulative warning points.

  1. Warning.
  2. 48 hour mute.
  3. 5 day ban.
  4. Perm ban

?

you brought it on a point.

That's exactly what i imagine!

There's currently no user group that's banned from the market so a new group will have to be added, which, tbh, would serve a better purpose than TWC.

I like the idea, but is anyone willing to put the effort into making it?

This is what i was thinking...

No because everyone will just make like the starting bid like what they would normally set as the A/W

So really no point

and would you really offer your maxed account

and then people only bid like 5m 07 and sell it for that?

When you know its work 200$+

And if people were smart they would start bidding only 1gp at a time :/
