Basic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 You should need to have 100+ posts to make a topic in the services section. This will make it so BRAND new members cannot open a shop to try and scam a quick sum of cash. Which has and still is happening. /discuss
Pieter Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 yeah, And you have to be member for atleast a month.. Then you can trust somebody. Not if he is only member for 1 week 1
Aza Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I agree, may stop scams but if you look at some of the people who got banned recently for scamming they were well known and had about 100+ posts All can really do is make sure you have a bank pin and use a middle man.
Toadfly Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I disagree. I know I only have..what, 2 posts and I joined the other day but there are some people that offer great services. You have to buy their services at your own risk, don't be doing payments with people that have no vouches, etc. Its YOUR fault you got scammed, if you got scammed. Be smart, and don't discipline the new people who offer services just becuase you can't use half a brain. 1
Kyle1 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I support. Not only does the 100 posts mean that you've been here for a little bit, but an active member in the community. I will hash out some details with the admins.

Unless you have over 5 vouches.
Peter Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I say 500+ posts without spam... You don't even have 500 posts yet, also yeah 100 posts to post a service would be great would reduce the scam slightly though.
Medic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 A good idea, will deter those from coming to OSbot looking for a quick scam.
Jacksonpm23 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Literally some of the dumbest things I have read on a runescape related site. You really think 100 messages, or a join date will mean you can trust them? Obviously you haven't been dealing on RuneScape at ALL.

Go be an asshole somewhere else, please.
Speakmore Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Absolutely support, it would show that you've been here a bit and an active member. With the Moderators ALWAYS viewing threads for spam, I'm not sure people could spam to 100 tooo quickly, but you could easily get 100 posts in a week, so IDK.
Nicholas Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 i agree, because even tho not all "noobies" are scammers the majority are :P just busted 100 :P
