A great way to make some money for Osbot and the script developer would be to allow the script developer to upload a premium script for only a select few of members aloud to use it. The price would be higher then usual because of the limited members aloud to use it.

This could also merge into my other idea of having a waiting list to use a premium script, this would overall decrease the ban rate and help items not crash. Like I said above, you would have to pay more to use this script for that limited amount of time.

me personally I wouldn't really pay too much for it.......... and I don't think many others would as well unless its an insane money making method also if its cheaper and more public the scripter can expect to make more money off of it.

i agree it should be "aloud" :P anyway i think its a great idea. but the admins are too busy to upload amazing scripts like gmc super script. let alone think about this. :P

Well I'm pretty sure that if you made a script of a private method, aslong as the script works fine, it could be added to the SDN for any price the scripter wants and for the actual method could be hidden.

I always thought private scripts would be awesome, IT would be awesome if the The admins made an announcement "releasing this bot, only 50 purchases available and it will be removed from the purchase list"

This would solve the problem of some people selling private scripts and earn OSBot some more money, but it is such a waste to even provide this service since OSBot will not make as much. It has its ups and downs.

I believe scripters are already allowed to request that only X amount of copies are sold. That's why some scripts say "out of stock." I don't think they can choose who is allowed to buy it though :P

 

I could be totally wrong too though. Anyway, I don't understand why private script sales aren't allowed anyway. I'm sure people do it under the table all the time and it can't really be controlled. Besides, there are a number of genuine reasons to sell a script privately: primarily, lower ban rates and not destroying money making methods.
