Appealing botting bans

Featured Replies

Has anyone successfully appealed a ban using any of these options apart from "My account was hijacked"?

What's the best way to go about appealing?

Imo this is kinda how it'll go -

1. They don't let you do the whole account sharing thing IIRC (stronghold of security really emphasizes this)
- No

2. This seems like the best-case scenario. Ownership means a lot.
- Maybe

3. They'll probably just tell you that it was a valid email.
- No

4. They'll emphasize that they haven't, but can't share details.
- No

5. They'll probably tell you that you shouldn't use any other clients than the official runescape client in the future.
- No

6. They probably already checked if your IP was different when it was banned in comparison to the IP that you played on.
- No

they'll only unban if the acc was caught on a different IP/rwt cant be appealed

I've never been able to appeal a ban, but good luck!

My old main from years ago got unbanned because "people change". It's a max main on RS3 and I botted on OSRS because I was upset I had to start over.

i've heard people being able to recover accounts by claiming hijacking, however, the likely hood if it working is slim to none.

I got my acc unbanned last month directly from a JMod to give me another chance. People in this thread are wrong; if you're honest with Jagex you're more likely to be unbanned.

Proof? did you appeal more than once?

I have had accounts unbanned that were botted on different ip's, also got 3 accounts unbanned recently with over 4 years of being banned because "people change".
