Hi guys,

Want to start discussion about Virtual Private Servers. How much do you pay? How many bots can you run? Injection or mirror? Low resource or not?

I just got back into botting and here's my testing setup:

1x OVH 2GB RAM, 1 vCore, and 20 GB storage ($5) (I think in the future I'd go for their bigger plan for $10.99/mo)

1x Private Proxy ($3.50) (but I plan on switching providers to get them in bulk for $1 - 0.50c each)

1x Ubuntu-Desktop with Linux OS (free)

Overall costs: $8.50 / mo ($4.25 per testing bot)

Currently I can run 1 bot without any issues, but when I start running 2 bots I can't use the server unless I'm only starting and stopping the scripts.

In the future I'd rather scale out than scale up (buy more servers rather than a large one) because the specifications to run RuneScape are pretty low. I also find that the more bots you run the cheaper the overall cost is per bot. The only problem with having multiple systems is finding a way to automate them all.

Dual xeon E5-2670v2, 96gb ram ,480gb ssd x2

50 clients no issue 100usd/month

not a vps but dedi server :D

Check out the link in my signature if you're interested in Windows VPS :)

Previously ran 10+ accounts off one vps server . Was around 20-25$/month

dual x5675s 120gb ram, 240 clients max but I stick around 120 so the bots have a bit of extra headroom incase they need it.

I typically get one headless osbot client per GB of ram on linux systems. CPU is not really a bottleneck providing the clients have the lowcpu flag.

Not using webwalking reduces the ram requirements by half, so 500MB per client.

All from my own experience using custom scripts.

I am using 2 vcpu’s with 4gb ram and i can run 3 bots in mirror mode without problems. Im looking to expand to around 20 bots. How many v cpu’s do i need to do that?
