Did you mean they never caught you in the past for botting? They do still hand out 2 day bans. You can get perm'd on your first ban especially if its goldfarming.

yeh it was first time,,, but I was also botting my main on zulrah who also got perm ban on first offence.

no they only give 2 day bans for "bot busting" which means a jmod literally invisibly teleports to your world and location to ban you for botting. What happened in your case is the account was automatically picked up with a bunch of other bots doing the same things to be simultaneously banned, permanently. They dont care about the stats or quests on the account, just the activity it was botting when caught. Any form of goldfarming is a permanent ban. 2 day bans are reserved mainly for combat training, agility, and (p2p) quest bots, in my experience.

and even still, if you are botting combat, agility, or a quest, I'd consider you lucky if you get a bot busting ban rather than a permanent ban.

Could be that they see wintertodt as goldfarming. Stuff like void/questing or training methods that don't make money or don't bring in loads of money are typically 2 day bans if they look like a main account.
