Featured Replies

So I have been considering writing scripts for osrs, and have decided to learn Java.

Can anyone give some starting advice ? would be massively appreciated.

Thanks :)

Oof.

Can't help with scripting itself but my advice is think of new, original scripts if possible. If there's 10 WCers and 9 from well known writers and one with an unknown people usually go for what they know works.

Before trying to write any scripts learn Java until you are familiar with the syntax and you have a solid understanding on how programming works. You don't need to buy any books or sign up for any paid courses, since you can find everything that you need online for free.

Mainly just understand methods, classes, and how to call things probably. ^ Back to what he said about syntax. Read open source and try to emulate what you read until it becomes second nature with their api
