RuneScape phishing

Featured Replies

I want to preface this: I am not a phisher, and have no plans to. I am just curious about the legal aspect.

so, phishing is obviously illegal, but I recently read somewhere that this only applies to bank account theft, and identify theft.

Is runescape account phishing illegal? If so, can you point me towards something I can read about it? If not, how would you argue it is not illegal?

Nothing is if you dont get caught

thats all you have to know about pishing. But its relatively safe due to hard to trace. The real problem is how easy it is no advertise pishing sites.

Like I said, I’m not interested in partaking in phishing, I’m just wondering if runescape phishing is legal or not

I guess it would depend in each situation. Installing a keylogger on someones computer would be different to getting their login details with a form on a website. Either way it’s a dumb thing to do.

Friends did it years ago.

Never got caught. Mostly cause people who get caught by phish links let alone rats have no idea what the problem would be.

Hurr durr I got hacked wtf!?!?!

lol

technically "hacking" aka just logging into an email account of a guy who accidentally shows his login details could already be illegal.
