Do mostly legit mains still get perm banned?

Hi all,

I was wondering whether or not Jagex show any mercy to main accounts when caught botting?

My main has been 100% legit up until now, has decent stats (1600ish total level) on OSRS and very good stats (half maxed) on RS3. The account is probably 12 years old and has no active offences. I've never been banned for botting before on any other account either so I doubt my IP is blacklisted either (if that's even a thing?)

You may ask why even bother but to be honest I've barely played this game for years, I log in quite frequently but barely play. I wouldn't be devastated if I got banned and I'm interested to see how much I can progress my account with sensible (3-4h a day) botting.

You will get a 2 day ban or Perm ban but mostly 2 day ban but it is randomly.. Trust me i botted xxx accounts it dosent mean anything if your account is 10 years it will still be banned in 24-48H :P But i only do 24/7

Will be banned. Botting is fully detectable. Had an account with an old two day ban that was quashed because it was over a year old 2 day ban. Botted for about 2 hours after getting on the account and deciding to play a bit also buying members. Permanent ban now.

My brothers and me, all of our first time bans is 2 days. Got like 10+accounts 2 day ban. Never perm banned. All p2p when we were Botting them. Safe to say as long as it is p2p ur first offence will be 2 day ban.

I bot 7-8 hours a day on my main and no ban. I used to bot overnight on RS3 every night but never bot more than 8 hours a day on OSRS. Never been banned. Stick to low ban activities such as bank stuff.

You will eventually be banned. They don't care if your an old player or not. Whilst the double exp, I did use an auto-clicker on smithing and got banned for a day, although, it was my first time botting in this game and have been registered since 2006. The total is ~ 2550. 1 advice from your little bro. Don't risk it!

I think 2 days are becoming less and less common, YMMV though.

I’ve had accounts permanently banned with high combat stats at zulrah. And I’ve had an account get a 2 day from hunting chins.

Ive also had fresh accounts get permanant banned from stun alching, yet one got a 2 day for doing the same thing.

I think it depends on whether it was manual or not, but I’m just speculating now.

Hmm, maybe I'll stick to bank standing botting and see where that leaves me.

my Maxed melee account got perm banned without any smaller bans before was legit/botted.

It's completely random, so don't risk anything you don't want to lose.

I believe they are shifting to permanent bans.

I just had my maxed main (1750 + total) that was 100% botted get a perm ban first offence. I was using a woodcutting and fishing script, so who knows if you'll get a temp or a perm lol.
