SpiritualAbyss Posted November 6, 2017 Share Posted November 6, 2017 I'm curious how most scriptwriters got their gig. Are most of you experienced with a language code before you started scripting? Which language helped you the most? If I have no school experience in computers but wanted to learn how to script, is this very difficult? Also once you learn how to script, does that give you an advantage in learning how to code other things in general with other languages? Juggles Posted November 6, 2017 Share Posted November 6, 2017 I learned how to script 1.5 years ago. I did code academy and then just did lots of practice on osbot and learned how to write scripts. Hel Posted November 6, 2017 Share Posted November 6, 2017 I learnt basic Java at the age of 14, I'm now 17 and still enjoy learning & writing in Java. There's tons of resources on the internet if you ever get stuck, but it's also a challenge to try solve your issues on your own. Nym Posted November 6, 2017 Share Posted November 6, 2017 I first started learning at the beginning of the year with 0 experience, I took a look at the basics and a few guides every once in awhile. From there I moved to loads of different things like c#, python, C, and webdev. It is extremely possible to learn programming by yourself.
