Price was 40 pounds + shipping but there's this (90.95/kg) price next to the item price. What exactly is this meant to mean? I've searched online and haven't really found anything

As said, it is just referring to the weight of the perfume you are buying, if you bought a whole KG of that, it would have been 90+, so you are buying about .5 KG bottle

if its water, other liquids have different density, depending on the substance the weight will vary..
