I've never gotten into GoT. It just seems to be overhyped, but maybe I'm wrong? :)

The first seasons are very interesting because of all the characters in the background pulling the strings and then seeing how that plays out. Also the characters are fun to follow since they actually develop from good/bad to beeing more complex when you get to know them more.

 

But if the first 2 seasons dont get you interested dont force yourself to watch it. after the 4th season you really begin to notice that they dont have the books to use as material for the tv show.
