The problem where your osbot window is way to small may be caused because you're using text zoom in windows, try to disable it.

Delete your OSbot folder and try again.

Sounds more like he was refering to your LAN IP's, which is something totally different from your WAN IP. The WAN is the one that anyone else from the web can see, for example when you access a site. Your LAN is just a local IP, usually something in the range of 192.168.1.x

Maybe you should try googling or looking around the forum first then. Theres plenty of tutorials. A VPS is a virtual private server, where a VPN is a virtual private network. It's basically a tunnel that masks your IP because it send your internet traffic thu a different server before reaching it's destination, making it look like the traffic came from another place.

It really depends on the distance between you and your friend, if your'e close to each other, don't worry at all. But if you live far away from each other, and have a big IP difference, it may be risky.

I use Malwarebytes and Avast, I scan my computer twice a week, and I've never been keylogged or hacked. Keep seperate and long passwords on every login you have, skype, runescape, forums, facebook, youtube etc. I have 64 character password on OSbot for example.
